Anyone else excited that it's back? I just got through watching like 5 episodes. You can download most of them on gnutella, or at various online sites like: TheFamilyGuy.com or Planet Family Guy. This is by far the funniest TV show on right now, and it's up there with The Simpsons all time. It isn't to that caliber because of the shorter timeframe, but it's just as funny per episode. The brand of totally random humor just cracks me up more than any other show. The current episodes are actually from the second season, which was cut short. These are the final episodes of that season, and Fox is committed to a third. I can't wait! Vengeance, This show is fantastic! I was extremely disappointed when it went off the air almost a year ago, but I've been watching it lately now that it's back on. How this show doesn't get aired in a better time slot is beyond me, as it is the only show that has put me on the floor more than once. Did anyone happen to watch the one last week where Peter goes to Congress? It was hilarious, as was the one the week before where Brian the dog becomes a director for the porno movie. I can't remember all the funny parts (the cut-ins are usually the best), but I particularly enjoyed when Peter gave the speech to Congress which bashed the tobacco industry, but then bumbled it all away whe his writers ran out of material. Anyways, Vengeance is right, this show is really good, and I think it comes on Wednesdays at 8:30 central, and maybe Thursday as well, I'm not sure.
The return shocked me as much as the cancellation shocked me. ------------------ "banging Shaq is a whole different expirience"-Pete Babcock Behold the power of quotation
I think it's just on Wednesdays right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got another time slot soon, as it's the highest rated show on Wednesday evenings. ------------------ "We must move forward, not backward, upward not forward, and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom." --Kang
new season of Family Guy starts Nov 1st in its new timeslot, Thursdays at 7pm, opposite the tough competition of Survivor, Friends, Whose Line Is It Anyway, WWF Smackdown and PopStars 2. ------------------
Ouch. Sounds like a sacrificial lamb. Guess that means that Family Guy will be back on the shelf by January. ------------------ I'm so amazingly cool you could keep a side of meat in me for a month. I am so hip that I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis.
I love the Family Guy, that show is hilarious! Hopefully Fox is smart enough to keep Family Guy, and not dump it when it's popular like they did with The Tick. ------------------ What if I say to you that the universe is a three-legged horse, eh? What then? - Russell Hoban
the live action version of The Tick is gonna air after Family Guy on Thursday nights. It stars Patrick Warburton of Seinfeld fame. then at 8pm it's temptation island 2. ------------------
I'd say this is the funniest show on television. The humor is just so tottaly random sometimes that i cant stop laughing... I guess it just reminds me of how me and my friends talk and joke around. ------------------ VIVA LE BATMAN
I have only seen 1 episode and trhat was a week or so ago.It was an episode were the dog joined the police force to sniff out drugs,I loved it and was very surprised in some of the show!I cant believe an animated show on regular television had a talking dog that got hooked on coke from working as a K9 officer! It was funny but I wouldnt let "the kids" watch!!! ------------------ AKA Rendiggler
I have almost every episode of the family guy on my computer from downloading it off morpheus. one of the funniest shows of all time. ------------------ Now that I have hit a 200 post count I fill my life has to come to a plateau. Oh well.
I wish they would have kept it as a cartoon, by I'll give the live action show a chance! ------------------ What if I say to you that the universe is a three-legged horse, eh? What then? - Russell Hoban
That's odd. I find "Family Guy" to be one of the worst shows I have ever seen. I cheered when I heard it was cancelled. I cringe every time I see a preview for this show. ------------------ Protrolls.com! I will always be a fan of Hakeem "the Dream" Olajuwon. The ZRBucks!
OH MAN, there'll be some good TV watching going on this fall. I need to get a Tivo. I need to get a job so I can get a Tivo. ------------------ "We must move forward, not backward, upward not forward, and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom." --Kang
OMG, I just watched Episode 105, where Joe moved into the neighborhood, and it had one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Stewie is watching the Teletubbies, and he says "the more I resist, the more intriguing it becomes". Ironically, the EXACT SAME THING happened to me a couple years ago -- I turned on the TV, and that happened to be on, so I figured I'd see what was so special about it. I COULDN'T STOP WATCHING!!! I finally just watched the rest of the damned program. It was EXACTLY like they said in the show.
Seriously, have you ever watched the Teletubbies? It's absolutely mind-numbing -- so much so that you can't change the channel.
Exactly. There are no words the whole show. It is nothing but Gu-Gu Ga-Ga. It numbs your mind. We used to watch it in my business class. Nobaody did anything; everyone just sat there numbly and watched the entire thirty minutes of it.
Some news from Stewie.
Greetings Minions, I write to you today as a call to arms! As you may know, the Nielsen ratings for my program have been very strong since my return to the airwaves a few short weeks ago. HOWEVER, at the start of the coming fall season, those ninnies at Fox are planning to ship "Family Guy" of to the Siberia of the prime-time television schedule: Thursdays at 8:00 p.m ET/PT. I am gravely concerned that such a bone-headed move will have a devastating (and potentially fatal) impact on our beloved show. Therefore, I implore you to take action! Send letters DEMANDING THAT FOX KEEP "FAMILY GUY" ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS!! After moving the show all around the schedule, then taking it off the air, and finally putting it back on, it?s time that they hear from you, the audience! Address your letters to both: Ms. Gail Berman President 10201 W. Pico Blvd. Bldg. 100 Room 4450 Los Angeles, CA 90035 AND Mr. Sandy Grushow Chairman 10201 W. Pico Blvd. Bldg. 100 Room 5110 Los Angeles, CA 90035 This is exactly the sort of action that got Fox to order another season of "Family Guy" last year, so history shows us that your support can make the difference! And if you have friends who would be willing to write, too, then enlist them in our crusade as well IMMEDIATELY! You have my eternal gratitude for your efforts! Best Regards, Stewie Griffin
