I don't remember anyone saying "abandon the low post and now let's plant Yao like the statue of freaking liberty in the high post." But I do hear some of us saying: "don't plant Yao in the low post 100% of the time like the statue of freaking Ewing and become so predictable and easy to defense."

But I think even GREAT MIND GUNDY is just waiting on this new group of players to actually spend some time healthy on the court so they as a team can figure out how to mix things up a bit and see what works, spring a few surprises based on available skills and take advantage of defenses expecting 100% mediocre predictability. High post something like 5-10% of the time, Yao learning to work with Tmac, Rafer, Head, Stro and now Purple Hayes another 5-10% and the whole team actually becomes a lot more fun, and learns to take advantage of other teams.

Or we can just plant Yao down on the low post, allow other teams to pound the crap out of him, and limit his touches with double teams, and Tmac can just sit outside and shoot 3's....

Why is that bad? Yao producing like Hakeem? It isn't as pretty as what Hakeem did, but if he gets the job done I'm happy.

Man that Dream shake was amazing.
