what!! Your saying other teams want francis?!?!!?! From the looks of this board i seriously thought francis was becoming a mooch type player?
Clutch: I'm not sure how you handle things like this, so if this isn't my business, cool, I'll understand. But for a better understanding; If MFKFLOYY^%$^ whatever his name was sincerely misunderstood, and e-mails you to say so, would he be reinstated. I understand your desire and need to seperate the wheat from the chaffe when it comes to rumors, and to make posters accountable for their 'rumor' posting, but supposing this was a genuine misunderatanding ( not saying it is, just IF) would that be an acceptable mea culpa on his part?
It would be a bad trade for us. Thomas makes too much money and can't play against strong PF's and he can't defend against the 3's very well either. TJ is a true point but he is a rookie with no outside shot.
I don't know if Mxyzptlk is somebody you want to use as a litmus test as to whether Clutch was too quick on the trigger. The guy never did contribute anything positive to the BBS and he didn't treat this like there was a possible chance he was wrong.
No, that was hardly my point. Where did you get that I was saying 'too quick'? I was saying that, if his offense ( which I agree was such) was motivated by an honest mistake on his part, rather than a desire to mislead, or to extrapolate. I myself have caught the tail end of sports radio discussion once or twice and thought it was a trade rumor when in fact it was a discussion. Now is the person responsible for not verifying before posting it? I think so...which is why I am not objecting to Clutch's decision. What I was asking was would the absence of mens rea be suitable basis for allowing him back in once he acknowledges the error of the actus rea. I will agree, however, that if he has done this before, and been warned, then my point is academic. I was more looking for a general sounding.
Looks like I am the only one who kind of got a chuckle out of his name and his trade proposals... Now...will we ever find out what the name stood for...
"What about that tattoo on your chest? Doesn't it say 'Die thread, die'?" "No, that's German for, 'The thread, the.'" "Oh! No one who speaks German could be an evil man!" In other words, it's time to close this thread. 10-4, little buddy.
