Fortson is averaging 6.5 rebs a game and hasn't got a single block in 16 games. what's up with THAT man? but his ability to rebound is no question....just doesn't seem to be doing it so far this season. regardless if it means shipping no-bow-throwin-mo out of here i'm all game. take aaaanything. aaaaaaaanything dangit.
Danny Fortson's short, plus he's gettin limited minutes. That 6.5 RPG is fine for <25 mpg he's getting, IIRC. If VladRad is on the table, you do it, don't think twice. And James isn't too bad, but I'd rather have Reggie Evans: he's been boarding with a vengeance. Although I personally think this trade is trash since Seattle has alwaysa had "offense" but this year is the first they've had the inside presence.
Fortson is a horrible defender. He only has one skill, and that is rebounding. I love the Radmanovich, James, and a pick for Taylor deal. Radmanovich could be our solution at the SF position for the future, and maybe we could even press James into a Kelvin Cato roll as the starting PF, going with a twin towers line-up. If not, we get by with Howard and Padgett and James can back up Yao once Deke retires. So much better looking than the team as is. I really want to offer Taylor to the Magic (expiring contract and backup to Howard) for a resigned Mobley, but that is probably just a pipedream, so we do this trade instead and try to get Mobes back some other way.
seattle will do this? i wont believe it til i see it... but then again i couldnt believe we got tmac, and i cant believe we have a losing record so far, and i cant believe that we still have van gundy...
Don't really believe this, the sight is too questionable. But a better deal would be... Houston Trades: Taylor/Lue/2nd round pick Houston Recieves: Radman/Daniels We obviously get the PG we've always wanted and pick up Radman. Seattle Trades: Radman/Daniels Seattle Recieves: Taylor/Lue/2nd round pick They get their "inside-presence" , a solid backup PG in Lue, a 2nd rounder just for throw in. Also, they might as well trade AD since he is a FA this summer and doesn't give signs he wants to resign.
IF its true, what a GREAT deal! james is a good rebounder and a great shot blocker. if he works out, he will replace mutombo. if he doesn't, his contract comes off the books at the end of the season. vlad, now that is a perfect fit at SF. he might have to play PF because jj is JVG's pet. i can see him being a 6th man playing the 4, just until we can showcase howard long enough to trade him. yao-deke-james howard-vlad-spoon jj-boki-padgett-bowen mac-gaines sura-ward-lue-barrett we would have lue and boki (young + ending contracts) with spoon and our 1st round pick to bring in a PF. also, we would have to release someone in order to make this trade. i would like to see bowen go.
I don't think, that this will happen. The Sonics play good basketball and I don't think they will risk their streak right now by making a trade. And then I don't see why the should trade Radmanovic and James. James' contract expires after this season, so his value is high. Radmanovic on the other hand is a great shooter at the four.
too good to be true. maybe clutch or doc can confirm? It makes sense for Seattle to be dealing Radman(supposedly wants a lot of coin and is a fa this year) and James(always seems to be in the doghouse), but I just can't imagine them giving that all up for MoT and his fat contract. He would fit in with their offense, but I don't think they are in dire need of offesnse from their frontline, esp at the expense of rebounding.
LOL, I am calling BS on this deal. We would rape Seattle in this deal. Right now Radmanovic's stock is as high as ever. No WAY would the Sonics trade him for Mo straight up, much less to add in Jerome James (expiring contract) and a 1st rounder in the deal. No way is this legit!
I don't understand why Seattle would screw up the good thing it has going right now. Plus I have a hard time seeing Van Gundy wanting Radmanovic -- he's a good offensive player . . . His game won't flourish here in Houston. It'll get worse and worse and before you know it he'll have wasted the best years of his career playing in a system that doesn't allow him to play offense.
Sounds like a BBS 'trade thread'. This one I'd rate 4-star if it proved true. Heck, I'd give it 5-stars if it occurred.
Exactly. I call total BS on this. "Our team might be 15-3, but we're still missing that ONE player that can put us over the top. There's only one man who could possibly elevate us to 'championship contender.' That man is... Maurice Taylor. Call up CD! Offer him the moon! We MUST have Maurice Taylor at all costs! Work the phones! WORK THE PHONES!!"
That trade would be a dream come true. I really do think what the Rockets need is a player like Padgette, but with a whole lot more talent. That’s Radman.
