well, if Dampier signs with us or we get that Jazz player instead, Ish is probably the odd man out anyway. that'll be 15 players on the roster. wouldn't someone else have to be cut or traded to make space for Milos if he wants to join too?

Sure, I think Milos has a restricted contract with Olympiakos, if no one offers him a deal they can renew his contract for the next 2 seasons.....it is only like 600k Euros....

I am not sure what happens if someone offers him a deal, but I believe that if it is a deal in Europe they have a right of first refusal, but not a deal in the NBA.

Someone else would have to help here...a capologist like Bima or Nike etc.

No way Euroleague MVP and someone like Milos waits on the bench to find out what his playing time would be..

Sure there is....but you may be right, he may not want to sign here because he could get more PT elsewhere.

That would be stupid, you don't get rid of a PG unless you have a better option, and Milos may not even be any good in the NBA....Euroleague stats mean crap when athleticism is amped up.

Some players can adjust others can not.....

He will primarily look for PT if he's indeed headed to NBA..

You're wrong. Very wrong. If Morey is signing Milos it's because one of our PGs will be gone before training camp, and Milos will be bench or starter. He's having a meeting with him just to let him rot on the bench?

When have we seen 3rd strings PGs play in a game? It's always garbage time, and that happens rarely - for a few minutes only.

Maybe not...he may be looking for more $$$$.....as his deal can be matched in the Euroleague, but he is a free agent in the NBA I think.

So, it may allow him to get out of that provision, even if it is just for one year.

And he may want to try his hand at the NBA game.....for a coach that plays a style that suites him...but it doesn't have any meaning as far as trades etc....

No one knows whether or not this guy can play in the NBA until he does.

so people actually believe Brooks is on the way out, as in now??? This guy will have trouble adjusting to the league, it's not going to happen instantly...best time to get him is now, when he can be brough along slowly behind two solid pgs.

I think you are right about that. If he wanted to sign in the NBA, he'd apply to FIBA to transfer leagues and all that. He'd only have a buy-out to worry about. Just like RFAs in the NBA can jump to Euroleague despite their teams' right of first refusal.

    A voice of reason....

And maybe if he proves he can play, it makes one of Brooks or Lowry expendable.....

Here is a vid for everyone to salivate over:

I doubt the best european PG is coming here to be a 3rd PG.
He's under contract until 2014, he has an NBA buyout clause, but I don't know for what year. He resigned with Olympiakos this summer.

Are you sure he signed again?

Olympiakos has a right of first refusal this year I think......if he doesn't get another contract offer.

And if he does have a contract with Olympiakos, then this thread is silly as he can not be signed here.

Why are they eating at 3 in the afternoon? Is that a late lunch or an early dinner?

If Brooks was traded, it's not because Morey thinks Brooks is worse than either Milos or Lowry, but because we are trading Brooks for some one big like Carmelo and you have to give up some thing to get some thing.
