Think about it. . . If you worked the night shift at the paper and you saw the frenzy going on here, wouldn't you be a little tempted to jerk around with the Houston Fans? Maybe...
No. JING posted it in a different thread. Jeff and others read it and suggested a new thread, which Jeff created. I merged the original post with the new topic. No one was pulling anyone's leg. It was up there. My guess is a "source" told Floriday Today something big, they went with it ... briefly. Then they realized they didn't have as much as they thought. But who knows.
Why do we need a screenshot? I saw it. it was a simple little graphic that said T-mac traded (note it didnt say who for, or to what team) and that there would be details within the hour. The hour is still not up...
T-Mac trade to Houston step closer By Tim Povtak | Sentinel Staff Writer Posted June 25, 2004 The trade of Tracy McGrady to the Houston Rockets moved a step closer early Friday morning to becoming reality after Magic general manager John Weisbrod spoke with Rockets guard Steve Francis. Weisbrod and Francis - the Rockets star who will come in the trade for McGrady - spoke by phone after the NBA Draft concluded Thursday night. Jeff Fried, Francis agent, said Friday morning that his client has dropped any objections to coming to Orlando. "Steve was very impressed with the way John has a vision for the team,'' Fried said. "It was a necessary step. I think John really connected with him.'' Weisbrod stopped short of saying any deal was imminent. The proposed trade of McGrady includes Tyronn Lue, Juwan Howard and Reece Gaines in exchange for Francis Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato. "I couldn't say we're closer to anything but this was a good first step,'' Weisbrod said. "I do like the determination, conviction I hear from Steve.'' Weisbrod also said he will continue talking to other teams interested in McGrady, and that he does not expect any conclusion to the McGrady situation this weekend. "We could still go in another direction with this, but I do like what I heard tonight,'' Weisbrod said. "We meshed.''

I mentioned that I was going to sleep in another thread..I can't sleep now!!! LOL...wow a lot can happen in 30 minutes...haha I'm staying awake. They probably won't announce anything though. Oh well. No Jameer Nelson. That's okay. TMAC!!!
"We could still go in another direction with this, but I do like what I heard tonight,'' Weisbrod said. "We meshed.'' this man is to annoying i can not take it anymore... we meshed did you give him a good night kiss as well on the phone pull the trigger jeeze.. sorry for venting
So there was no text at all other than that? I was thinking that there would at least be a blurb or something. I believed that it was there, just wanted more info on the content and what the picture looked like.
OK I see whats going on. Someone at that paper jump the gun. No trade will happen tonight, if you need sleep, go to sleep. Don't expect it till at least Monday. Its not like if he was traded you would miss him play his first game cuz you sleep though it. unless your my cousin but thats a diffrent story
lol okay good night! WELCOME TO HOUSTON TMAC! Doesn't the trade have to be done after June 30th? I'm not going to sleep. I'm going to eat some oranges.. But hmm...I don't think anything is happening tonight. I'm guessing they had a nice talk.
It was a graphic with the blurb DrewP said was in it, right above the headline you can see now. It was a bright color to catch the eye. edit: the time said 1:17am. That would have been 12:17am here in Texas.
