I was interested in the game (enjoyed Fallout 3), though I've been busy with a bunch of other games. The bugs and the DLC crap gives me enough reason to hold off and just wait until the GOTY edition.
Got it last night, so far it's pretty fun. I'm trying to learn how to play the card game, Caravan. Anyone else get it?
Patches are coming out later this week apparently, so you won't be waiting that long. Anyone pick up the deal at Toys R Us where you get the game guide free with the game? I normally don't pick up strat guides but for a game like Fallout it would seem very useful because of the immense world.

For the record the Fallout series has been combining the old-school Americana type images and music with futuristic elements before bioshock was even a game. It would be more accurate to say bioshock took similar themes from Fallout. But I love both games and they are both unique enough in their approach that it doesn't bother me. I'm concerned about the bugs with the game, so I might wait on it, but I love the Fallout series so much it was hard not to get this the day it came out.
It seems like this time around you can't have a super character that has all stats at 100, you actully have to become specialized. Sucks that Ps3 people like me have to wait hella long for the DLC because their doing the same thing they did with Fallout 3
Have all the issues been patched for this game yet on the xbox 360? I would like to get it, but I don't want to get frustrated with freezes and malfunctions. I heard there was a patch toward the end of December, but I haven't seen anything about how it went and if all the major issues were solved/
