I don't think JR will still make that many 3s under the defense by Ron, Billups is undoubtedly a mismatch over Aaron but he doesn't have any appetite to eat someone alive. Billups will just get the points he is supposed to get, then he will try his best to transform his pts into assists. Melo is the most troublesome player IMO. Shane is a wonderful defender but his defensive play seems less effective to the muscle-armored SFs like him and Lebron.
I don't think I agree. If we throw Brooks at Billups for a whole series, Billups will certainly drop tons of points on him.
Great Oden's Raven, why can't people around here just accept that you don't pick who you play? You do your best and let the rest fall into place. That's just how it goes.... the goal isn't to get out of the first round, people! SUCK IT UP. We're going to beat whoever we play in the first round, and we're not going to run from anyone.
Now that that it's "cool" to hate on brooks everyone is doing it...nevermind the fact that Brooks is quick enough to get by Billups on offense, which he did the previous game AND in an earlier game this season where he started for Rafer, he also played well the first game against denver as a backup, that's 3 of 4 games against Denver where he played very well......nevermind the fact that Shane can play billups because billups isn't a speedy PG...Billups will get his, but he's not going to kills us so easily like some of you say. Yao is the key gainst denver. If he lets Nene intimidate him, it's over. Yao should average 30 a game in a series against Denver. Also, anthony usually doesnt give Houston much trouble, he's not as quick as a lebron or kobe and doesn't have their range or finishing ability, so shane pretty much always gets him to shoot a bad %, he'll still get his 20, but on like 8 of 20 shooting..
Nene can't try to guard Yao, all he does is foul. I guarantee that Yao will demolish Nene in a series. Carmelo can be denied by Battier/Artest. Here is the order of teams I want to face. 1. Denver 2. New Orleans 3. Portland 4. San Antonio 5. Utah
Yeah Id like to play Denver, but the thing is none of these teams are a cakewalk or an easy out. They all have good pg play and if we play the way we have played the past few games we are going to get knocked out again. No matter who we play.
New orleans has to be everyone's number one. They don't have depth, Tyson is injured and may not be 100% by the first round. Posey is also hurt, he should be back soon, but he too may not be 100%. since these 2 are big pieces of a team lacking depth, their offense as a whole may not be running on all cylinders by the first round due because these guys have to get back in rythm/shape. Also, no other team is as dependent on one player like NO is on Paul, contain him and you win. Easier said than done, but at least you know that's the solution, with other teams you have may have to keep guessing.
totally agree. CP to hornets is just like what D Wade is to heat, both of them are working their guts off carring their teams over their heads. without them their teams will definitely sink silently.
