If things happened the way the woman said they did then the cop is looking at some kind of manslaughter charge. We'll know more when they release more video.

 

Wouldn't the audio of the Dashcam pick up what the cop said? That will be key evidence.

 

Looking at the laws on the books in Minnesota, if things happened the way the woman described them, the cop is most likely looking at a Voluntary Manslaughter charge that could land him in prison for 15 years. In Minnesota an "imperfect self defense" claim is an admission of being guilty of Voluntary Manslaughter.

 

It should. I also haven't heard anything about a bodycam. I hope he was wearing one and it hasn't been "corrupted" or "dislodged" and the video can be recovered.

 

I have never trusted law enforcement officers and I never will. My children will be raised to avoid them unless they are in immediate danger. It is true that no all cops are bad, but I'm not willing to risk my life that the one in front of me is a "good one".

 

Teach them how to use firearms safely as early as you can. Teach them to defend themselves and solve disputes without having to call Police.

Realistically the only reason you want to have the Police around is to document things to have them on record. That's about the only thing that they can do right but they aren't perfect there either.

 

Teach them not to resist arrest no matter what they think about the cops. So many people end up in jail or dead because they do dumb things when they have to deal with cops.

Police consider black people dangerous right off the bat. That's pretty obvious at this point.

Anyway, I was headed to a shooting range one day and kind of rolled through a stop sign. I had a rifle in my front passenger seat and a gun in my holster. When the cop approached the window he could see my rifle and I told him I had a CHL and was carrying. He didn't even blink, just asked me not to reach for my gun. That was it. Of course I'm not black so there's that. Cool story bro.

 

The predictable overreaction by the "march on Washington" crowd that wouldn't give a damn if the people who got shot weren't black or the people who pulled the trigger were black. The whole "the man is out to get me" mentality is hilarious to me.

Their communities have been systematically ravaged by their own government ever since that same government was nice enough to not let people own them anymore. It's really not funny.

 

I'm sure some people think that and I enjoy laughing at their paranoia. I'm not really big on worrying about people with victim complexes.

 

That said, it's win-win. I get to laugh, they get to feel like they are being oppressed which is what people with victim complexes live for.

 

What reasons might the African-American community have to feel like victims?

 

Anyone can feel like a victim if they try hard enough....that's the beauty of victim complexes. It doesn't matter who you are or if you have any legitimate reason to feel that way, you can always find something to make you feel like a victim if you try hard enough.

 

Is there a discernible difference to you between a victim and one with a victim complex?

 

We need to teach people about the Holocaust and drop the hammer of fury down on any who deny it or minimize it. History will repeat itself otherwise! Never forget!

Hey black people, get over slavery, black codes, Jim Crow, Tuskegee experiments, civil rights movement and the fact that you didn't start passing on inheritance to the first generation of black people until the late 90s...get over it! Stop being victims!
