After one week of championship play:

    Rook: 168 + 152 = 320 (8/16 SP games used)
    Aliens: 197 + 151 = 348 (8/16 SP games used)

    Still anyone's game.

    Whose team are you on??

I knew there was a reason I kept Danks on my roster.

You just cut about 40 points off my lead yesterday with saves by your 2 closers and a blown save by mine. It's way too early for congrats, especially with the best pitcher in baseball throwing for you one more time over the weekend. And my 2 best pitchers both question marks coming off injuries.

Heading into the final scoring period, here is how things stand:

    Rook: 168 + 152 + 162 = 482 (12/16 SP games used)
    Aliens: 197 + 151 + 185 = 533 (13/16 SP games used)

I won't say Sam's lead is insurmountable, but barring a CGSO from Greinke, it's looking more and more like we will have our first 3-time winner in this league.

Not looking good for me as I mentioned earlier............

Fade, have we ever thought of starting the playoffs a week earlier so that we don't go down to the final day of the season. The problem is that teams will at times alter their pitching rotation to have it set for the playoffs. Just a suggestion.

That's always a problem. Seems like you run into that problem along with contenders resting all their position players once they've clinched, and young starters on non-contenders hitting pitch limits and being shut down for the season. That's why I try to have as few SP in the last weekend as possible, and of those, pick the guys who have Friday games. You just can't trust final weekend pitching.

Greinke is nasty and capable of that CGSO. Let's hope he doesn't get it, and Soria nabs the save. :p

Sam, Good point should have thought of that (reason my name will remain Rook, for those bonehead moves I make - it's like my own built in excuse), instead most of my pitchers are this weekend. Oh well, that will not be the reason I lost, you deserve the Championship. Congrats..............

Once again, I always seem to be the bridesmaid never the bride, I guess that should be always the grooms men, never the groom...........you get the idea.

I don't recommend this lineup. You only have 4 SP games remaining and you are currently starting 5 SP (Gorzelanny is a starter). Only 4 of these pitchers will be counted.

I think you should remove one of these guys and insert Bell as your other RP alongside Nathan.

That's fine with Bell you can insert him, but I have Tom qualify as a relief/starter so I was putting him there, but I see your point......and your the boss.........
