Still way too close. No way this is a blowout. You have Gagne, who will most likely save a Kevin Brown win. You also have Dempster going today and it's only an 8 point lead, 124-116. This game is going to the wire.
Yeah, it looks like Pujols and Orlando Cabrera are keeping me in it. That bad outing by Hudson didn't hurt either. Comes down to Dempster vs Brown and whether or not my RPs get saves tonight. Your Jeter/Posada combo could be lethal against the Mets.
So it comes down to: Mike Young Carl Everett Mariano Rivera Against Jorge Posada Derek Jeter (injured wrist and may not play)
Hmmm.. that could be good or bad. What do you think? From your perspective, would you rather that game gets rained out or goes ahead?
I need points from Posada and Jeter (if he plays). I NEED that game to be played. Everett has been very quiet and that entire Rangers team is due for a BIG scoring game. Robertson's 6.03 ERA doesn't bode well for the Astros. Yikes. Bottom line: If Yanks-Met game is a washout, you win this matchup IMHO.
138-137 for you. Young has 4 innings left. Jeter has 3 innings left. Neither Everett nor Posada are playing.
Yep. I have the Yank-Met game on the TV, that Astro-Ranger game on internet radio (KTRH.com) and the yahoo-mlb game channel going. Guess you could say I'm a baseball junkie
Groundout dammit Saarloos coming into the Astro game, Hopefully Lidge is warming up for the 7th inning.
