Fiction. Tmac will cry after the team gets knocked out of the playoffs, even after we pass the first round.
Fiction. I predict T-Mac will say something along the lines of "Wait until next year when Yao's back". T-Mac will retire a Rocket.
fact. this 2-star thread (bad) will continue to be pretty much a two-man dialogue between two posters and will eventually die. better threads will take its place in the GARM.
Fiction. This thread will be replaced by threads titled "Trade T-Mac for next week's groceries and a coupon for a free car wash". The Rockets will not resign Bobby Jackson next year and instead use his salary to chase a major acquisition.
fiction. i will bump it each time i visit this bbs until it's locked. battier is on all defensive team this year.
Fact. (After that nationally televised shutdown of Kobe, it will be a travesty to all things NBA if he isn't). Yao Ming will return strong next year and we are going to be a f***ing force to be reckoned with in this league of little girls. (Why the hate for this thread? I think it's interesting. Pretty fun, too.)
We will be a force, but despite the financial windfall (and because of the margin of error) Money ball will deal Yao.We all know the need for a dominant bigman, but there is a huge market for a Chinese C.Also both have the history of injuries which could happen.I'm not near as worried about Tracy as Yaur window will be expanded...If Les would take the hit I would deal Yao.The history of a guy his size with preexisting foot problems is not good to say the least.See Sabonis,Bowie, etc. The downside when you factor in TIME and possible further injuries outweigh the upside BASKETBALLWISE now as far as I'm concerned. We would need major value and mobile size as part of the return as part of it.Anyway I think financially we're at a depreciating point in that even if we dealt Yao,we would still have a large % of Asian Fans. You had to make this one a controversial lure eh,Shady? But,unfortunately I'm thinking we're not going to see the same Yao as a couple of years ago ever again and we don't need the roll the dice as we have a great coach and serious talent/including what we would get back.To me this team stays healthy with the assets we have or acquire and nobody stops us.Time for the safe play....... So,fiction. OK........Fact......Shane Battier wins DPOY.
