Well... really it's just semantics at this point since they are going to have three debates soon, but Obama basically said "anytime, anywhere" when asked if he'd debate McCain. McCain basically challenged Obama to a lengthy series of Lincoln-Douglas type town hall meeting debates... I'm just pickin' anyway. I love the process... the fun is in the way we all twist things to suit our own views. It's all funny sometimes just seeing how we all see, hear, read things to suit our viewpoint. The sad aspect is that there is truth in all views... and that's also the perplexing thing.
oh please, you meant the townhall meetings, i don't care too much for those, i wanna see how a candidate responds on stage with thousands of people in the audience, like the official debates with all of america watching them. To mccain's request, he couldn't even handle rebuttals from a couple of hags on "The View"
o and btw, your point on how we all spin things around is pretty valid, but it is made all too obvious as people try to support the extremely dishonest and dirty campaign Cain' is carrying on
I was in favor of privatizing some of our SS, as it is our money, we should have the right to invest it. But now that Wall Street has proven to be corrupt and unreliable, I am not so sure that is a good idea..... DD
Privatizing SS only further reinforces the goofy idea that SS is a "retirement" account. It is NOT. That fact alone should be cause enough to resist privatization.

It was designed to keep grannies from starving in the streets. Safety net, yes. Retirement savings, no. Risking it to the market (and the ridiculous fees concocted by the "privateers") negates the intended purpose, IMO. I would much rather SS was voluntary. But of course, that would never work either...
Who cares about social security? Doesn't everyone have a rich girlfriend or wife to spend her money and 8 houses to rent? Well, I'm off to read the holy book. By the way, who are these corinthians fellers, and who gave them the power to call a man who divorces his wife an adulter? They sound like terroristas to me.
