http://www.businessinsider.com/facebook-buys-instagram-2012-4 Wow is instagram really worth that much?
**** you facebook. Seriously I hate you. I hate the faux old photography of instagram, but it was better than anything FB has ever done.
I don't get Instagram either. I see people upload pics from Instagram, and I'm like, hmm... why not just upload that directly? What's with the pee-pee game?
See, that's all I thought it was, figured they had some pee-pee game schtick that made girls and/or people with Macs think they had to use this app to be accepted into their fantasy, fairytale, quasi-hipster, internet wonderland.
$500M valuation in last round (very recently) from Sequoia...somehow they doubled that. Facebook seems even dumber..
I don't think it's worth $1B either. I am constantly fooled into thinking their iPhone or Android device's camera has all those effects !! Not. Just upload it directly, man. Why the F install another RAM-hoggin' app?
great tweet: Dennis K. Berman Remember this day. 551-day-old Instagram is worth $1 billion. 116-year-old New York Times Co.: $967 million.
Pics with a lo-fi look like they were taken with a '95 digital camera, or look like were developed from bad negatives from a disposable camera = Instagram / hipster "retro" = $1 Billion
This. Exactly what I was thinking yesterday while reading the hype about how it has an Android App now.
If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, a hipster will buy the soundtrack. Really mark?!?! You can can save billions by creating your own facebook photo apps. You already have the brand why over pay someone else?
