for all you haters! i told you so! NO Bosh No playoffs this year. Still a huge fan don't care if they're the worst team in the league.
This will be a nice thread to bump if the Rockets turn it around in a big way, considering the season isn't even 10% done. I'm not calling it, but it will be great if it happens. In the meantime, I'll continue watching and enjoy the Rockets because I'm a fan. You go do your thing and bandwagon with some other team, kay?
This team will suck for as long as we have players like Battier and Hayes playing big minutes. These type of players are liked by coaches and fans but in reality are detrimental to the team
True that, true that. For everyone calling me a "bandwagon fan". Thats just not true.. I have rooted for the Rockets for as long as I can remember. I'm only 18 so I don't have a long history, but I did start watching them religiously when we got T-mac in 04. Ever since then they have been my team no matter what. I've been through the pain of watching them lose TWICE to the Jazz in series in which we should have won. I haven't missed a game (thank you dvr!) in as long as I can remember, and if I do miss a game it eats me up. Heck if I miss the first quarter of a game, I go back and rewind it and watch it. So trust me, my committment is with the Rockets. Because of that, I just can't keep pretending like this team is in really bad shape. The word for my generation for someone or some team doing horrible is "suck", so face it, this team sucks. I will always keep watching my Rockets and rooting for them no matter what. What I won't do is pretend that they are something they're not.
On a positive note. Here is another chance for that Great wonderful Battier to defend another juggernaught of the league tonight. He gets to go against Danny Granger. This should be fun again! His lovers will be heart broken unless he scores more than 2 points and gets 3 rebounds. Then they will say he did all that he could and the team lost the game when Granger goes off for 30 tonight.
Yes i agreed we DO SUCK!! BUT, suck in a different way. It was because of injury and Yao's situation. Can we blame on these for us being suck?? I don't think so!! As i said before, if Yao play full minutes, we would not have lost most of the games. If Lowry play in LA, we would have won that game because sorry Aaron Brooks had to play overtime and guard Blake. If Yao play in Golden State and any other teams in full minutes, we would have won them all!! So i can't say we suck. This team need Yao to be great, without him, they're just an average team.
Exactly. It took 1.5 years to get rid of Rafer and Rockets passed the first round with a "bad" Rookie PG right away..... I thought the coach got the lesson... I thought Ariza was to replace Battier.... Nah, everything is the same. This team just love mediocrity.
We are playing badly right now, call it sucking if you want. There are plenty of logical reasons to think that's not going to change, plenty to think that it will. Saying that fans should 'face it', implies that we should do something. What is that something? Stop watching the games? Set lower expectations and be happy with that? Don't brag about the team, thinking we're contenders? Personally, I'm 'facing it' by taking a broader look at the team. Regardless of what happens, the team has options it can take in the future to improve. I'm optomistic that we'll take what comes and make the right decision to get to the promise land, sooner or later.
I think it really boils down to 2 things: 1. We have no chemistry. 2. We have no go-to guy. Acquire these two things and I feel like we would be pretty legit. Throw in some defense and you've got yourself a party. Another thing that would help is for Bud to find his shot. If he keeps laying bricks at such a high rate he's going to need to start wearing a hard hat on the court. The guy is what, 2/20 from downtown?
The mental mistakes at the end of the halves is incredibly frustrating. We have to be the dumbest team in the league.
