Did I say once Steve would have Rudy fired? NO You can ROTFLMFAO all you want but many will agree RUDY does not get the Rockets to the playoffs he will be asked to step down. EXCUSES are over no more injury bug well this well that no excuses Drafting Ming is a gamble and the wager is Rudy's job. People will say if we fail once again to make the playoffs that Rudy and CD should have traded the pick for a veteran player or a solid player rather than drafting Ming. If you know anything about fan reaction and the way owners handle a team, you should know it is not the players who get the finger pointed at it is the coaches. Rudy can be here for another 10 more years but if playoffs do not happen this year Rudy will be in the front office. Les is finally moving into Houston for a long stay now so he can attend more games and get his team and organization in order.

Since knowing Steve back in the san Jac days I will say it is not impossible for Steve to jell with Ming. But Ming has to prove to Steve and the rest of the team he is here to play hard now and not "get adjusted" to being in the Nba. Steve has said time and time again if he can get to the playoffs he can take any team to the next level. Steve loves Houston he has a nice house and plans to build a bigger one, He and Cat are partners with their friend on the sports wear clothing line they have here in Houston, which soon will be nationwide because Reebok has decided to carry Steve and Cat's line. Steve wants to win thats all If Ming contributes to this then Steve will admit he was wrong. Steve will not sabotage or create a cancer in the locker room he will give Ming a chance to shine and prove himself but you cannot blame Steve at all for wanting to trade the pick for proven NBA veteran. The #1 focus is getting Steve to sign an extension then the pieces are in place.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already (I stopped reading at page 3....damn this thread is large!), but I think that Steve should at least show Ming, Rudy and CD respect by not showing displeasure publicly regarding this. I mean, what would Ming think if he knew that the other players didn't want him? As someone pointed out earlier, chemistry could be a problem.... Cato and Walt Williams suck but has Steve ever publicly questioned their abilities? I'm sure that he hasn't. And he plays with them. Since Steve cannot play every position at the same time or come off of the bench for himself, he should just shuttha*up and let the staff do their jobs. He needs to worry about fixing those migranes instead of playing GM.
