I cant believe all the steve bashing. Some many threads regarding drafting Ming and get rid of Steve.Sorry folks but this is Steve's team.If he doesnt want Ming so be it.That's his opinion that he's entitled too. It's not like Ming is some can't miss project that Steve is supposedly bashing. In the ESPN the Mag regarding Ming's workout, Quentin Richardson mentioned how he was not that impresses. How Ming is not a shot-blocker and how the clippers will be taking bets on who will dunk on him first.Even if Ming is better than expected, if Steve leaves as a FA then the rebuilding starts all over.Steve is a better player than Ming, has accomplished more and believe or not has more potential than Ming.Leave Steve alone or he will leave and the Rockets will be like the Wizards w/o Mike

Thank you!!! All you stupid @ss people! He only said he never played with someone like Yao. What is so wrong about that? You guys are turning on him like he did something wrong when he hasn't. This is the first time steve has ever said anything about Yao to the press and this is what he gets? You people make me sick sometimes, you are ready to trade your franchise player all over some chinese center that isn't proven? For what? I only come to Cluthcity to read, but I had to respond to this bashing. The members that are bashing Steve and Cuttino are wrong and it really shows what kind of bandwagoners you guys really are.

I don't mind Steve voicing his opinion about how he thinks Yao Ming will turn out. I'm just mad about saying "...how will it help my game." What a disgusting attitude!

What Steve said was a "tad more explicit?" Man, this is just wrong. I can understand if Steve doesn't want Ming but there is no reason for Steve to get all that riled up about it. This guy has some serious issues.

Its hard for me to think of any other player that would be against Ming this much. Disagree maybe but Steve seems to really dislike Ming. If this is all true, Steve is nothing but a freaking jerk. Someone needs to seriously help this 2 year old.

Quentin Richardson isn't exactly setting the world on fire. As for Richardson comment that he isn't a shot-blocker, 5 bpg says otherwise. The Clippers can take bets on who will dunk on him first all they want, I'll take bets on how soon they self-destruct after going on an ego trip. I guarantee that Ming will make the Rockets a better team then the Clippers. Somebody tell Richardson that dunking on somebody doesn't = wins.

Troy, you still have not answered my question about Steve and his contract extension. Again, your thoughts?

As for your post directed towards Jeff... I think Steve and the TEAM should worry a little more about how THEY are going to improve their OWN game then worry about other players being added to the team. The "team" wins and loses as a "team". They ALL need to improve THEIR game and it is only THEN will they make the playoffs and beyond. Ming or Odom+picks are not going to be the difference maker here if the REST OF THE TEAM does not elevate their game.

As you said previously, Steve is upset with the Yao pick because he thinks it will be too much of a project. The Rockets brass obviously doesn't think so. How much has Steve talked with the Rockets about Ming? Is he discounting their assesment of Ming? Is he really going to go into training camp with an open mind and give Ming a chance? Why assume the negative with Ming? Why not focus on the positive elements?

And again, Troy, your thoughts on Steve and his contract this summer?

    Chris

You're posts in reaction to this quote are not mature at all either, nWo34Life.

Don't bring Mobley into this. He has said he wants Odom, but has not said anything against bringing Ming over here.

NWO: Stevie Francis is an "Asswipe"

    hehehehhehe
asswipe, come on lets hear you're buck tooth spit

Steve is having the same problems as trailer trash here, he doesn't understand something hes never experienced and thus for NWO seeing a city is like seeing "the biggest trailer on earth", Steves see a chinese basketball player at 7'5" and says, so, I know Lamar Odom can ball, I'm not looking for a goofy looking project, and then NWO says "Steve You Asswipe, I'm gonna make you smell what the Caravan is cookin'!"

this is all silly, we either draft ming or we don't
steve will either like him or he doesn't
hell is not here on earth
everything will work out just find without all the stained undershirt commentary :p

Troy, I owe you an apology.

I implied that you were a jerk and a liar. I was wrong about the liar part.

Please tell Steve Francis that he needs adult supervision, and that you ain't it.

Doesn't it seem like lil Francis is the punk kid in the playground that won't allow BIG Ming to play or doesn't give him the chance to play? Someone needs to teach that boy a lesson Teach his ass to play TOGETHER and not to think highly of himself...

I am not joking when I say I would rather trade the 1st pick straight up for Odom than also get Olowokandi in the process. Haven't you learned anything from Kelvin Cato? Olowokandi is an untalented stick-in-the-mud center who ball-hogged his way to raising his scoring average to a whopping 11ppg from 8ppg this season. Wow! I can hardly contain my excitement at the prospect of acquiring Michael Olowokandi. But I do find it amusing how much you think those two will help the Rockets, seeing as how they haven't been able to win anything with the Clippers. That trade would ruin the franchise for years to come.

I sure hope so, but it does not look like it...

This was already asked in another thread, but it has not been answered. The question is: "What is the question that Steve Francis was asked that prompted that answer?"

Yes he did. He played with Dream. No Ming will not be as dominating but they play the same game except Ming can also play the high post.

But the thread is about Steve Francis...and of him complaining of playing w/ the #1 draft pick...and that's what I'm speaking on...

Dream was not the player he once was when Steve played with him. I'm starting to wonder if Steve maybe meant that he really has no idea how his game will be affected by a 7'5" jump shooter. Could that be an alternate translation as to what Steve meant or did he just look pissed when he said it?
