In my opinion if there has been any talk with Chicago,it's probably coming from them and not from Houston. I think they are exploring how to get McGrady relatively cheaply.
If I can get a dollar for every statement like these I can get front row tickets to the games LOL... But if you do a search for the past couple of years how many times do we hear the same things?
I agree with the first part of your post, but if we were offered those two, you'd have to think about it.
Yeah allegedly. The question is whether those reports were true and hence this talk was a results of Tmac's unhappiness. Or those reports are gabbage and it's the management who wants Tmac gone.
Going by his past articles Stein sources would be via Chicago... possibly Bulls people planting stories.
And you my friend needs to put the Pipe down because there is in no way in Hell Chicago would give that much for T-mac, Garnett, or even Kobe.. Bwahhaha
T-Mac cannot afford to give **** effort at this point in his career. If he does care about his career, that is.
A couple of things. The Rockets would be better off with a version of Tmac that is buying into the movement team oriented game, with Yao as the focus. However, maybe Tmac has to move on to let Yao blossom as the true leader of the team. I would rather Tmac stay, but if the rumors are true and he really DOES want to trade him then I would take some other talented players that fit into a team oriented motion game with a dominant center. IMHO, I Believe the Rockets are listening, and hopefully all these rumors will motivate TMac to fit in, and fly right. DD
The mantra I use for fantasy baseball finds a good fit here: if you're good, trade to get fewer players and concentrate the talent; if you're bad, trade to get more players and dilute your talent. Right now with the mountain we want to climb we are definitely not in need of receiving multiple players in exchange for one. The only remote chance I would look at trades if I was Morey was for a better player than T-Mac (better or bound to be better soon). Since that has next to zero chance at happening, I'd keep him. If we can maintain Adelman's style of basketball while incorporating McGrady into the offense, we really could threaten anyone in the playoffs regardless of our seed.
Here's the scenario of these "trade talks." Chicago: "hey, Houston, you guys down with taking some of our young talent in exchange for McGrady? You know he is a broken down has been and we have some youth and athleticism that will get you guys over the hump." Houston: "It doesn't hurt to listen but if you aren't offering Deng AND Heinrich then don't waste your time." Chicago: *click*
I want to see Tracy back on the team because he was playing effortlessly in the beginning of the season. I want him to blend his game along with the rest. I don't think he is selfish, what annoys me is his excessive jump shooting. I feel that he is soft but I don't want to see him traded for moderate players. If he can't play well with the rest of the guys,a trade might become inevitable. That would be unfortunate because management would be dealing from a weaker position.
yeah but at least they get on the court. mac's in a suit. deng's only missed 4 games total, and nocioni has played in every game....doesn't sound like they're struggling that bad...
Thought you guys would like an outsiders perspective on Tmac. He, for better or worst, is a shadow of a player. He is somebody that could be a superstar, but probably won't because his body is brittle as a piece of balsa wood. He just isn't worth a premium when he may or may not play on a daily basis due to injuries. Thus, I don't see his trade value is HIGH. Their is nothing I hate more than trading for an injury waiting to happen. The guy is making 18 million dollars to set on the bench due to an injury. He has missed a significant part of 3 out of the last 5 seasons and it doesn't look like it is going to end. 18 million dollars! I just don't see yall getting rid of him without taking on some bad contracts and yall might get 1 good player and a conditional draft pick.
