I didn't know the Zen players can play DivX. I need to check if the Zen V Plus can play DivX. If so, I'm going to be getting one.

I just got one a couple days ago. I got it before they shipped the 1.1.2 firmware versions to the stores. Now I don't have to use freakin AT&T wireless and don't have to wait for people to figure out how to unlock the 1.1.2. I'm excited! :)

The thing is, if you hack the iPod Touch, you can do a hell of a lot more with it than you can a normal iPod. For instance, on my iPhone, besides email, weather, Google maps, Safari, etc., I've also got an NES emulator, a GBA emulator, a SCUMM emulator (Secret of Monkey Island for the win, yo), an IM chat client, Tetris, Blackjack, Sudoku, Minesweeper, streaming radio, and a dictionary/encyclopedia. And the iPod Touch can have all the same functionality, just minus the phone part. Plus, you get an absolutely gorgeous screen (awesome for video) and a super-slick UI. I love my iPhone.

Convenience. You don't have to plan ahead to what you're going to want to listen to that day/week/month/year. It's all there when you have the urge to listen to something.

With my 80 GB Itunes library, I would spend a lot of time going through it deciding which 8GB I want to copy over. Don't have the problem the 160 GB.

Then there's also the fact that they push it as a "true video" ipod. How many videos can you even put on that? You have to remove all your 1 GB of music every time you want to copy a video over?

I'll get an iPod when they have a touch iPod with at least 100GB and wi-fi. It'll be a while.

I've been trying to find the 60 GB Vision:M and I think it's been discontinued. I've only been able to find the 30 GB model.

I love my ipod touch, style and function all in one. Plus you can unlock it which ive done to mine and use almost all application on iphone on the ipod touch. As someone already mentioned, you dont have to pay a contract to go with the iphone. Ipod touch 16G 399, iPhone 8GB 399 + 2 year contract at 59.99 per month.
