First class/business seats: Emirates, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and Qatar Airways are the ones that make it worth your money. Once you've sat in the suites with flat beds, you can never go back to Economy/coach again, at least on long-haul trips. The exclusive lounges, short lines, chauffeur service from hotel to airport, great meals, and the privacy and comfort from annoying passengers and crying babies.. just unbelievable. Toilet paper: Charmin or Quilted Northern Tires: Michelin Pilot sport PS2 or Goodyear Eagle F1 Detergent: Woolite and Tide original
I love that someone posted an example of Grey Goose being worth it when it's a prime example of a product that ISN'T worth the extra. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/26/dining/26wine.html?pagewanted=2 http://www.businessweek.com/lifestyle/content/may2008/bw20080521_901688_page_2.htm http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Consumer/story?id=3201973&page=3
The maker of Grey Goose actually came out and said they were going off of the psychology of people that says expensive = better. It worked and continues to do so.
on the business week taste test, it mentioned that grey goose was the smoothest, and I have tried over 15 different vodkas and nothing goes down as easily as ice cold grey goose
It won't matter what the answers are. There are a handful of people that think that something is worth paying a lot of money for while the other 95% think they're out of their minds. It just boils down to what you may think is important to you and what your "needs" are. I'm of the opinion that 85% of the time, the 95% are correct - the 5% are nuts.
Carhartt. Loved what my overalls did when I needed them and my jacket is a beast. Guitar travel case. Having gone from Houston, to Albany, back to Houston, to Pearsall, etc. My $80 case does what it's supposed to do, plenty of battle scars but no damage done to the goods. Jameson Irish Whiskey. /thread
This here is the Ferrari of R/C. The $500 Futaba 4pks. I have the older 4pk but really the only difference is the analog toggle switch. Ask anyone and they'll tell you that this is the pistol grip radio to own. It does everything.
You talking about winter jackets reminded me of this commercial. I went to their site. It ain't cheap either. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2W5RahBLURI?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2W5RahBLURI?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
Along with the ski boots I mentioned earlier, first class airfare while traveling overseas, well worth it
Business class and first class is nice but few people would fork out the 8K extra on their own dime. 8K can get you some nice prostitutes.
I agree too, I spent $1200 on a laptop and the burner went crapped out on me on 10 different dvds the burning lens in the macbook pro is crap, I have to constantly use a disc cleaner before burning anything
I used the Futaba that came with my RC car and dammit, I can crash the car just as well as anybody else!! You fly planes? Geez, I'd cry if I saw my plane crash. So would my bank account.
