So it seems like people (NBA fans) are expecting some stuff to come out about issues in our locker room given this embarrassing sweep that’s about to happen. Anyone here feel that’s possible and if so, what is your guess will come out?

That this team has been checked out since Dicker-leaks.

Team chemistry is so damn important. We have none. I appreciate the good things did for us during the regular season, but dude has not been a good locker room teammate.

I just hope we can trade KD before whatever was going on comes out and further tanks his trade value.

I mean, it might not even be anything too spicy, just players not vibing, a coach who has no offensive sets and refuses to take accountability, and bad roster construction.

Or, it might indeed be incredibly spicy, in which case, I am ready for the Sichuan Sauce

There’s definitely something wrong with this team. Burner stuff, other stuff… who knows. There is a locker room issue, no doubt. I think we all can safely say the burner stuff is true, so can you imagine how awkward that is for Sengun, Jabari, among others. As if KD is perfect himself, Mr 9 turnovers and “I don’t play with a minor ankle injury in the playoffs”, nor does he sit on the bench to support his teammates. I hate to say it, but as good as KD the scorer is, KD the overall player and teammate isn’t what I had hoped. Probably should’ve tried to run it back with the young core completely intact, and it’s hard to envision that we’d be worse off. It’s not even about Jalen, it’s about team chemistry, heart… I think DB was a massive loss.

hindsight is always 20/20…. I agreed with the trade at the time, but now I don’t feel good about it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they shipped KD out, either because he demands a trade or due to chemistry issues that can’t be reconciled.

Im hopeful that the locker room negatives are already baked into KD’s stock. The good thing is that he stayed healthy (until the playoffs) and played all-nba caliber basketball. We should be able to get some good asset return for KD. But I don’t want this front office handling anything more. Removing the front office makes moving on from KD pretty cut and dry, and it’s the best thing for everyone. We’ll need to find a new GM and move KD before the draft. At least we’ll get a head start with an early playoff departure ;)

It seems like they don’t even like to pass the ball to certain guys. That Tari 3 on 1 where he ran into the defender is a perfect example

I mean, it's pretty obvious. There is a ton of disfunction that didn't exist a year ago. What's the biggest variable?

I think we all know exactly what happened.

Not sure if it will, did not happen with Harden, may be they dont even have the connections to make it real.

One reason I love this game so much is the chemistry element. I believe you can put 5 all-stars on a team and if there's no chemistry they can lose a series to a team of role players with great chemistry and coaching that knows how to get the most out of that chemistry.

Even if we had some chemistry and there was no KD dick-phone I'm not sure Ime has the emotional intelligence to get the most out of his team. Not to mention even draw up basic actions to get a bucket.

I said after both games 1 and 2 locker room problems were the primary reason they lost and Ime deserves more blame than Stone. I'm also willing to believe KD is responsible.

During the first two games, the team was not "together" and wasn't playing for each other.

To be fair, that's every Tari, Jabari fast break. They don't pass, Euro-step, change pace, dunk. And Amen seems to have caught the affliction. I've never seen a group of players worse at finishing fast breaks and finishing around the rim in general.

Yes, there will 100% be a story about KD and his burner. The way it was handled was weird. Refusing to confirm or deny, just pretending it didn't happen in hopes that it would go away.

There will be a story about how it was handled the same way internally and became the elephant in the room.
