(thank you for not giving up on Garuba) I like this one the most because it looks towards the future. Would like to see the Porter contract first. If team friendly than Nix is odd man out. Tate & Martin are place holders for Bari / Tari.
1. Jalen Green 2. Jabari Smith Jr. 3. Alperen Sengun 4. Kevin Porter Jr. 5. Tari Eason 6. Josh Christopher 7. TyTy Washington 8. Usman Garuba If the draft happened today, you have to prioritize the young assets you've acquired, and I'd prioritize them in this order. Letting first round picks from the last year walk in TyTy and Garuba feels like a mistake. The only reason you keep Tate or Gordon over those two is if you think you could get more for them on the trade market right now and they have more long-term value to the franchise. It doesn't feel like KMJ has as much value as those two, and it seems like he's on his way out at some point soon anyway. I like Nix, but it didn't cost the franchise anything of value to get him, and I don't see him projecting as anything more than a bench guard at best. It's a moot point anyway since any expansion draft would likely be years away, but if it ever happens, you've got to protect your young assets.
So how does it work? The two teams get to draft a full roster from the non protected players? Is that separate from the draft or is it all one big draft that includes prospects and current (unprotected) players?
Regular draft stays the same. Expansion draft is just a way to get veterans on the expansion teams. Each team protects 8 players. Expansion teams take turns drafting from the unprotected players who are usually comprised of veterans on bad contracts or young players that are busts.
yep. We never won a ring after the departure of Zan. Hakeem got jealous and bolted to Toronto to be Zan junior.
