It would seem that way, wouldn't it? Maybe I should sing a song instead.

Why not you first? Give us a link to support your claim of millions of Iraqis killed by Sadam. Then I'll give you some links on deaths due to sanctions, Gulf War I and II.

This is a gross exaggeration of the deaths caused by the dictator Sadam, though as with the WMD and the Sadam-Al Qaeda relationship, you have probably just been deceived by your steady diet of neocon tripe.

Where do you think Saddam got the chemical weapons to use on his own people that basso cares so much about.

Democracy and nation building isn't Shrub's strong suit. He'd try to foment civil war like he did with Hamas and Fatah if he had another term to squander.

Yep, Glynch and a bunch of us are also N****r lovers, Wetback lovers, Commie lovers, C***k lovers, Socialist lovers, Queer lovers, French lovers, even (gasp) Yankee lovers... and whatever else you and your ilk want to call us when you have no morality or logic to justify your petty self interests and have to try and frame the "argument" as if your view is the only one allowed in America.

    Pathetique.

I presume you're also aware that there wasn't long simmering ethnic strife in Germany, a long history of colonial oppression or that rather than being a tin pot dicatorship Germany was one of the most industrialized and well educated countries leading into WWII.

I can't believe that poeple are still clinging to the examples of Germany and Japan to justify the invasion of Iraq when the situations are so vastly different.

not to justify the invasion, but rather to demonstrate not only the difficulty of rebuilding a functioning society in the aftermath of dictatorship, but also to demonstrate that in can be done- and it takes time.

Well, then it's still a poor example...I doubt America can implement a Marshall Plan for Iraq.

That's right. Mom however, is not entitled to stay here and obtain government benefits if she crossed the border illegally and had her baby while she was here.

I guess we could tell her that she is being deported. If she wants, she can take her baby back home with her. We will not force her to do so, as the child is a US citizen. We can put the child in a state run orphanage.

So you give a couple of potential justifications for the war. When those are shot down, you come back with THIS?

Why was it the right move? Because you said so? Because Bush said so? Because Rumsfeld said so after taking his Geritol?

Come on man...if you're going to take a position, give logical reasons why.

The reply wasn't about the mother, it was made about a comment on spending the money on children.

    surprise surprise...

Pentagon Report on Saddam's Iraq Censored?

ABC News' Jonathan Karl Reports: The Bush Administration apparently does not want a U.S. military study that found no direct connection between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda to get any attention. This morning, the Pentagon cancelled plans to send out a press release announcing the report's release and will no longer make the report available online.

The report was to be posted on the Joint Forces Command website this afternoon, followed by a background briefing with the authors. No more. The report will be made available only to those who ask for it, and it will be sent via U.S. mail from Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia.

It won't be emailed to reporters and it won't be posted online.

Asked why the report would not be posted online and could not be emailed, the spokesman for Joint Forces Command said: "We're making the report available to anyone who wishes to have it, and we'll send it out via CD in the mail."

Another Pentagon official said initial press reports on the study made it "too politically sensitive."
