he's also a hall of famer and arguably one of the greatest at his position. Anybody who doesn't want KG on their squad doesnt know the game of basketball.

You can't be serious? Tim Duncan is arguably one of the greatest at the PF position, and Duncan does everything Garnett does, but better.

i will take KG in my foxhole any day of the week. he might be a "douche", but how can you not love how fired up he gets for games?

at least he's not a dirty player like Karl Malone. thats a guy i find despicable.

haha two technicals in game 1 of their Miami series, picking on Q Richardson. He's washed up or soon to be, and not many people like him.

LScola is intense but he's a good person all the way.

    So is Garnett...

He was a better defender in his prime, a better jump shooter, a better passer...
24 points and 14 rebounds with over 5 assists is simply ridiculous...

They are different players, but Kevin Garnett can certainly make a case for being every bit as good.

One of...meaning there can be more than one :p Besides, TD is a better overall player (and isn't a nutcase), but KG is one of the most versatile players in the league, I'm pretty sure he can play all 5 position relatively well. He's also one of the best defenders I've ever seen, disregarding his "barking dog" stance I've never seen anybody else guard two guys at the same time.

FYI a lot of players also hate Scola's guts because of his flopping and all the sneaky plays he always comes up with. In fact Trevor Ariza thought Scola was a dirty player before he came here.

”I just saw ‘Q’ standing over him, talking nonsense,” Garnett said. ”I just asked him to give him some room. Before you knew it, mayhem started. I know these two have competed against each other in the past and they have history of bumping heads a little bit. The only thing I tried to do was tell [Richardson] to give common courtesy for an injured player. That’s all.

”I have no beef with ‘Q.’ I know him personally. I thought what he did was a little disrespectful by standing over a guy that was hurt, just talking nonsense. Before you knew it, it just all broke out. I have to use my head. The only thing I saw was Paul was hurt, and that was the only thing I cared about at the time. I don’t remember air-boarding anybody. I just remember people grabbing me.”

Obviously the religious angle played into it, but along with that, everyone I talked to that didn't like Tebow would also point to some of his actions that were borne of his intensity: the crying, the fist pumping, his speech that the media slobbered over, and his jumping around/arm waving thing that he does in seemingly every game.

Take away the intensity that make Tebow and Garnett both act like bozos at time and they become that much harder to dislike, but they also become much less effective competitors.

That's where I see the difference too. Tebow would put that intensity towards his teammates, himself, and the fans.

KG does the same. But he also directs a lot of it at his opponents in the form of taking cheap shots, bullying, etc.

As another Florida example, I'd also mention Noah. He's like a kid who just ate 10 candy bars but he rarely got into it with opponents. He was always pumping up the crowd and his teammates, which I considered a crucial part of their championship runs because the rest of the team was relatively low key. I think people are actually watching him in the NBA as opposed to ESPN highlights, respect his game and realize it now.

Damn I dunno man. So many people loathe Tim Tebow. Me? I think the guy is great. But w/e.

As for KG...still one of my favorite players. The intensity, the passion, the overall great play...I'll always support that guy. I don't like the smaller players thing, but other than that, that's my homie.

Anybody who does want KG on their squad doesn't know that it's not 2008 anymore. The guy is washed up.

I love how the douche tried to spin what happened in his favor.
I'm sure one of the biggest ish talkers in the league was nothing but courteous when QRich came up to the sideline.

Tim Duncan is a great player. But lost my respect in that playoff series against Phoenix when he CLEARLY wasn't the best power forward on the court, stoudamire was. But back to the topic, kg competes harder than anybody in the NBA. If you wouldn't want him on your team then I suggest find another sport
