Ron, tracy, and yao have missed a combined 25 out of the 41 games, shane missed 23...there's "trouble" in the locker room, we played as many games as anyone in the league, a lot on the road an back to backs, yet they are 25 and 16, on pace to win 50 games, 2 games back of the SECOND seed in the west, facing an easier schedule the second half, more home games, with the possibility of having Ron and Tmac for most of them, shane for all of them, and deke as well? I'd be pretty damn happy about that, you guys are hard to please.

I would rather go into the playoffs w/o Tmac and lose than go with him and lose. It is time for the chemistry to get right and that will only happen if Tmac sits out and watches from home.

    Good question!

    Unhappy 0-10 Happy

    I'll say it's a 8 overall.

Unhappy with frequent starting lineup changes. It did hurt the team chemistry. Especially you knew someone got the talent and could give more effort on the court, but he didnot. That just pissed you off a lot.

Happy with Yao, Wafer, Scola, Carl ,AB and Chuck. T-mac, whether you can make me happy really depends on how you come back from the rehab. Ron Ron did good overall, but I think he could work more on his FG%. It's a bit low beyond my limitation of tolerance. Battier is not 100%.

I agree with letting Tmac and Ron Ron have plenty of time to rest their bodies. One thing is to do this is definitely good for them, and the other is I really wonder how much the current rotation can bring us and how well they can do against the elites. We all see how well they've been playing for the last several games and I wonder whether this continues and even getting better?

    Go Rockets.

Sigh...If Tmac could play like he did in a 22-winning streak last season, with Ron back in, how damn good the Rockets would be! :D

We are going to have to step our game up in the second have of the season if we want to even make the playoffs.
The way the west is this year I dont think 50-32 gets us in.

We need to at least get 55 games to be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

That means we have to go 27-14 the rest of the way. I think we can do that. Our only problem is alot of the teams in west can do that or better as well.

You call those horrible losses? A horrible loss is not beating the teams you're supposed to beat (vs.Washington, @Toronto, @Memphis, vs.Indiana)

I can live with the Portland loss because that was just a lucky shot. If this team wins all of them games they're supposed to win in the 2nd half, we'll finish at least 52-30. Should be good enough for homecourt in the West this year.

I've always said that the Regular season doesn't matter much for the Rockets, so in that sense, the record is just fine. I personally don't really care unless we get 8th seed and face the Lakers 1st round.

Overall, I give the Rockets INC grade. There's still a few months left to correct our horrible situation. It's all about our health issuses. Health > ALL.

Considering all the crap we've had going on, I am okay with our first half results.

Though I felt we could have done better, with all the drama and injury issues we've had... and the fact that we've had more starting line ups than 28 of the 29 other teams in the league... I am okay with under achieving a bit from my preseason expectations.

There have been several media types, JVG included, who have said "how are the Rockets still over .500" with all the injuries and such we have had.

Could we be higher up the Western Conference food chain at this point? Yes, we've given away several games that we could have won. Do I think we will still be in the bottom half of the west by playoff time? No.

This team has shown it can make a comeback and I still believe that Adelman will have them rolling by the time March ends, with or without Ron and Tracy. Hopefully it's with them both.

This is where I saw the team at the start of the season. I beleived we would be over .500, but not doing suberb, while attempting to get healthy for the play-offs.

Sure we have the 5th seed, but 10 wins in a row can see the team jump to a top 3 spot, or 10 losses can have use fall to 9th. It is that type of season.

With all the injuries we have had to put up with, anyone who expected to be in the top 3 expects way too much.

We are over .500, and hopefully we have everyone on the floor, after the All-Star break. Then we can develop that chemistry we saw last season and make a run at the second seed. Maybe even teh top seed, as I don't buy into the Lakers.

i didn't realize that we are 29-12,which means at this rate, we are 58-24 by the end of the season, and that is some impressive record.

We are just truly DEEP. Way to go , rox.

    Lakers 17-6 73.9%
    Orlando 16-6 72.7%
    Cleav 13-5 72.2%
    Houston 13-7 65%
    Detroit 11-9 55%
    Nola 12-10 54.5%
    Pheonix 13-11 54%
    Portland 10-11 47.6%

How I feel (probably most others do too):

1.) I think I am all a little dissapointed that we aren't a 60 win team like originally anticipated, but am still pleased we are doing better than we were last year thus far.
2.) I am dissapointed that our lineup is so inconsistant and our good play is so sporatic, but I have hope that things can only get better as more players see more time on the court and our players develop a good rythmn.
3.) I am excited about the emergence of Von Wafer, and the second year development of Landry/Brooks. However Rafer's strangle hold on this team is still a concern.
4.) I am pleased Yao has been so durable and effecient, but worry about his inability to be "clutch" down the stretch where I have seen him come up short over and over.
5.) I worry about some of Adelmans coaching decision, but praise how well our bench works together under his system. His minute allocation and dedication to his starters can be a bit puzzling at times.
6.) My biggest fear is our team is very dependent on proper officiating to be effective. If the referees were too just "let them play" in the playoffs I think we will be at a huge disadvantage.
7.) Finally, this drama whether it be real or staged is bothersome as this could signal the begining of the end for our team. Change is scary, because your never know if you will be the next "Nuggets" or the "Mavericks".

Overall I am content as a fan and think we are primed a killer second half run. We can still get that #2 seed, and its going to be exciting to watch.

    Go Rockets!
