With each defeat, it becomes more difficult for Uncle Bob to keep watching reruns of Matlock , while doing nothing to improve the Texans.

I would give my left arm for Cowher to come coach the Texans.

    Not even kidding.

I would keep Kubiak as an offensive coordinator...but that would never happen.

Dick Vermeil is the exception that proves the rule.

If he's really interested, I think it's smart of Cowher to plant that seed, let McNair know he has a viable plan B out there. While I don't wholly agree, I can understand being hesitant to fire a guy when you're facing an unknown aftermath.

If the Texans brought in Cowher I would be ecstatic.

If the Texans do indeed dump Kubiak there is going to be a long line of coaches wanting this job.

We have so many weapons and young talented players that have the potential to be good for a long time.

Very interesting if Cower is really interested in this job, but I predict the Texans find a way to somehow screw this up.

Hell, even if - against all odds - we actually make a bold move like this, knowing the Texans luck, the season will be cancelled because of the lockout.

They'll probably reach a deal with him, bring him to a PC and lower their offer and he'll walk away vowing to never work with this team ever gain!

    Thanks for the links again...

And honestly if you think about it.. Do you honestly think a Bill Cowher team will not show up for all 4 quarters? Do you think they will not show up in the first half?

Just imagine what he could do with:

    Andre Johnson
    Matt Schaub
    Arian Foster
    Owen Daniels

    Brian Cushing
    Dameco Ryans
    Mario Williams
    Antonio Smith
    Amobi Okoye
    Bernard Pollard

Hell.. He could even help out our inexperienced secondary..

Thinking about Cowher as the head coach of the Texans just makes me salivate...

If Cowher took the Texans job, he wouldn't even have to be as successful as he was in Pittsburgh, and he would still be highly regarded in this town.

Seems like a no-lose situation for Cowher.

Man oh man... I like Kubiak a lot - but if he's floating interest, I just don't see how McNair can not look Cowher's way. That would be... I'm trying to think. In terms of big-time Houston pro football-related acquisitions, I would rate that behind Earl and ahead of Warren Moon. A real franchise-changer. 'Cause here's the thing: Cowher has nothing left to prove: Borderline HoF career, a steady, likely high-paying gig, more money than he probably knows how to spend, and his pick of almost any job in the NFL.

For him to come here... that would say a lot. I don't even know if I possess enough giddy if this were to happen.
