    Kubiak lacks fire.

Football is a game of passion, and Kubiak fails to inspire his players.

    GET THE CHIN!!!!!

Last thing to add, I promise.

He may ultimately NOT be worth the salary he wants to coach again. I don't know how much control he had over personnel in Pittsburgh and ultimately it always comes down to personnel. But I don't think there is any question at all about Chin's ability to coach up the players he has.

    Fear The Chin!!!

Players screws up? The Chin will kick their arses.

Coaches screws up? The Chin will kick their arses.

GM screws ups? The Chin will kick his arse.

Owner screws up? The Chin will kick his arse too.

Heach coach srews up? It only happened once. He kicked his own arse so bad, that he knew better than to screw up ever again.

That's a pretty nonsensical statement with no basis at all.

Mike Tomlin won a ring in his 2nd season as a HC. Sean Payton in his 4th. Both could easily win another this year.

I'm not asking for the next Belichick. I'd be satisfied with the next Sean Payton or Mike Tomlin.

And both could easily never win another one.

Jon Gruden won a title in his 5th year and hasn't won another one since.

Sustained excellence is the mark of a great coach.

If Uncle Bob wants instant respect, he should offer Cowher whatever it takes.

I love the logic that, because of the Texans storied history of winning Superbowls, it would somehow be beneath us to hire anyone with only ONE ring.

    LOL.

Landry, you're just off in this thread. You normally have such solid points, but this one is just ridiculous.

Tell me this: who is your choice for a HC?

Cowher would bring this team some legitimacy and outside media attention. I'm on board.

on the back of what Cowher created...and that's not taking a thing away from him, because i'm sure Tomlin would say the exact same thing if asked.

cowher built a team that year in and year out was competitive...was in the playoffs. that's all you can ask for. once you get in the playoffs, it's about who gets hot at the right time.

i'd be absolutely pumped to have bill cowher in control of the Texans.

I'm not off. It took Cowher 15 seasons to win a championship. 15. So why even axe Kubiak then? give him 10 more seasons, if he wins a title, then he is a great HC too.

I just dont think Cowher's resume lives up to the hype he gets around here.

who would I hire? IDK. but when Cowher starts asking for $10 million per.... it definitely would not be the chin.

I'd take Cowher back in Pittsburgh. Especially a rejuvenated Cowher that is hungry to prove he can win without the Steeler franchise. (Well, I'd take a rested Cowher at any rate.)

I'd rather he went to the Panthers than Texans, but I'm curious to see what he'd do with the defensive front seven in Houston.
