Source: Bill Cowher has wish list of jobs

Former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher is prepared to return to the sideline after a four-year hiatus but he won't take just any job.

A source close to Cowher is adamant that the Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans and New York Giants are atop his wish list if any of those teams should make a coaching change after the 2010 season.

I don't think the Giants or Dolphins jobs are coming open. New York tied for the lead in the NFC East and is likely going to the playoffs. I can't see NY looking for a coach unless Coughlin resigns. Miami may not make the playoffs this year, but it's only Sparano's 3rd season and he's already taken them to the playoffs once. I don't think they'll be looking for a coach either.

So the only realistic possibility for Cowher to coach at one of the teams on is wish list in Houston.

I know that Bob's kind of a p***y and is afraid of becoming even worse if we make a coaching change, but Bill Cowher is a known commodity, one that has demonstrated that he's clearly a better coach than Kubiak. How far would McNair's head have to be up his own ass if he ****ed that up?

I was being sarcastic. How many seasons has kubiak been here and not a single playoff appearance? Yet, some folks want to give him more time? Please.

Anyhow, Cowher for coach?! Make it happen Bob! I know, I'm daydreaming.

I really think we will have to lose out for Kubiak to get fired.

    I seriously don't think so.

He's gone. There's no way McNair can justify keeping him on board at this point. We've just guaranteed our self another losing season and who knows how much more we'll lose from here on out.

he doesn't have to justify anything. He could simply not want to pay for 2 different head coaches and their staff. He could also use the looming lockout as an excuse that it wouldn't be ideal to make changes right now.

If we finish 5-11 I honestly don't think McNair would (or can) bring him back.
