Backcourt violation was NOT a violation- this has been repeated on ESPN, NBA.COM, and on this board.

Though I can understand even slightly the disappointment with officiating, the bottom line is that Allas had every opportunity to win this series.

There were no complaints for the first 2 games when the bricks won. The refs didn't give up a double-digit lead with 6 minutes to go in the fourth quarter of game 3. The refs didn't miss important free throws down the stretch of very winnable games. The refs didn't employ hack-a-shaq tactics which expedited the penalty bonus situation for the Heat. The refs also didn't signal timeout in a crucial late-game moment of game 5. Furthermore the refs never forced choke city to surrender 2 double-digit leads and resort to jacking up perimeter shots in a win-or-die game 6.

So, okay, hate the refs. Even if the officiating did suck (a position with which I disagree), the Cubanos had every chance to win this series.

    * And if you poll every Rocket fan here about their truest and most sincere feelings towards the round one loss in '05, I believe most would agree that it was NOT the fault of the officiating.

The games were in fact lost by players who choked and won by player(s) (DWade) with undeniable will to win.

I really enjoyed watching Dallas lost the series to the Heats. If Mavs wins it, I'm going to puke. They're the whinniest teams ever, and I especially hate Mark Cuban.

My brother ran into Horry at the airport a few months ago. He said he walked up to Horry while he was talking on his cell phone so he apologized for interuptting but promptly told him how great he thought he was and how great it was when he helped the Rockets win. He said hey its cool  and thanks, or something like that. Pretty cool he wasn't a dick about my bro interupting his convo, can you imagine the response Dirk Nowitski would give if you did that to him?

I know he's not what he used to be but I think it would be cool if we could trade Bowen or Lampe for him. Given how much he loves the Rockets, he could end up playing another 2-3 years and be a solid backup at the forward position. During the Spurs games his shot looks a little rusty, but I don't think he really gets that many minutes anymore so it's hard to say what's left in his game.

retribution for the constant crticism and intimidation cuban has given to the refs and the league.

cuban wants it to be a guards' league? well you got it. sneeze on dwade, foul on you. thanks mark.

I think there are a lot of reasons why Horry will always be a Rocket in his heart:

    - because this is the city where it all started
    - because those two championships were his first
    - because he was an INTEGRAL part of those championships (not just another guy coming off the bench)
    - because the team didn't give up on him and he didn't give up on the Rockets (even in the face of a potential disaster like the failed Sean Elliot trade)
    - but most importantly, because the city of Houston continues to be grateful for what he did for our team, and welcoming to him and his family.

Hating Allas just makes us love him more. :D

he proved to the haters that the Rockets Championships were legit because they had great players along with Dream. Not a 'bunch of scrubs' and Dream.

Take Horry away from the Lakers and the Spurs and they would have less championships, because no one in the league can hit those crazy crunch time 3 pointers than Big Shot Rob!

I will like Horry more when he comes out and says that he loathes himself for being a Spur. Then, I will know that he is a true Rocket at heart.
(He's welcome to do so after he retires. I understand that it would be a little strange to make such a comment right now.)

blame the Rockets for not pursuing him. Im sure he'd love to play back in his home... like Vince Young would love to play back in his home.

    In general...

Adults: "It tough to win in the Finals when you gotta play against the refs too. The Mavs got totally robbed...it's a disgrace."

Kids: "We should have won, but in the end we just didn't get it done."
