While Dorner needs to be captured . . . I am unsure how I feel about Drones now being used here. Maybe this is old news to some .. . but its new to me.

Make no mistake. . . once they can use them in the extreme situation
they will find reason to use them in the mundane situation
Will Domestic Drone use become common place?
Spying on the American People? Is this incident the spark needed to make its use . . palitable?

If the drone has the KILLSHOT - do we seriously think it won't be used to take it?

As the manhunt for fugitive murder suspect and former cop Christopher Dorner continues into its 4th day, members of a 125 member task force formed to find him have revealed that drones are being used to bring him to justice, reports the Daily Express.

A senior police source said: “The thermal imaging cameras the drones use may be our only hope of finding him. On the ground, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack.”Asked directly if drones have already been deployed, Riverside Police Chief Sergio Diaz, who is jointly leading the task force, said: “We are using all the tools at our disposal.”

The use of drones was later confirmed by Customs and Border Patrol spokesman Ralph DeSio, who revealed agents have been prepared for Dorner to make a dash for the Mexican border since his rampage began.

He said: “This agency has been at the forefront of domestic use of drones by law enforcement. That’s all I can say at the moment.”

This is an explosive revelation in the midst of President Barack Obama struggling with criticism of a drone war that has expanded dramatically under his administration and has been responsible for the murders of close to 200 innocent children.

What's next, the use of helicopters?!? Airborn surveillance is not new...

And the drones they use in USA airspace are not equipped with weapons.

people are smarter, more accepting, and less violent than they were a generation ago.

How is this culture in trouble, again?

lol, you seriously think armed drones, which are only under the control of the military and CIA, would be used in a strictly civilian law enforcement operation?

And what, exactly, is the difference between a drone and a surveillance helicopter, aside from the altitude and visibility and pilot? I see no difference at all.

The three things you list above are all troubling to him.

You have to see it from his POV.

Because the law forbids it right now unless the drone is within sight of the person operating it.

There's a bunch of obvious of reasons why they won't. One of them being that the LAPD and law enforcement agencies involved don't have the capability, that is unless you think Obama will authorize the military to fork over guided missiles and bombs to the Border Patrol.

Ladies and gentleman, as the result of my own rigorous research, I am sad and horrified and titillated to announce:

gwayneco is the posting presence of Pope Benedict! Or, shall we have to say, ex-Pope Ratfinger?

Although not murderous, I was somewhat of a vigilante during my college days so I understand the steps one has to take to get a message across. What Dorner is doing is terrible, but the LAPD left him no choice. As a fervert admirer of Kant, one of the main things I preach is that every action has a qualifier. Killing someone's child might be frowned upon, but if you're not true to yourself, you make everything around you liable for the makeshift facade you up. One lie leads to another and soon a web is sown so thick full of so many dead flies, that you're too far gone to go back and being honest negates everything you stand for.

School shootings are tragic, but they're brought on by illiterate gun laws. Rape is terrible, but is brought on by sexual repression and unattractive people breeding.

Kobe Bryant. Roger Federer. Honey Bear.

These guys are excellent because they hold themselves to a high standard no matter how much crap is going on around them. They don't wilt and give way to cheap values, corruption and exploit the helpless because it's the "status quo". And that's exactly what the LAPD is not about. Sad situation, but they brought it on themselves and I truly hope major changes occur after this saga ends.

Why did you have to quote him? I almost read that since I could see it. Made it to the "LAPD left him no choice" before I realized it was Ronny.
