I've already posted Jordan's playoff numbers from that season and he had no answer. Topfive quoted Blake from another thread where Blake proved that Jordan's numbers in '95 were consistent with or better than his numbers during the second three Chicago championships. Having forgotten his post, I showed a shorter (and not nearly as good) version of the same thing. The response? With all due respect to those involved, a bunch of crap. The excuses made for Jordan in this thread, excuses the man himself doesn't buy, are unbelievable. Jordan was playing at his usual high level. Jordan and his team were beaten by Orlando. Houston met Orlando in the Finals and beat their ass. Therefore, Houston was better than the Jordan led Bulls that year, with no acceptable excuses for Jordan, and he didn't want any.

Some of you need to get your heads examined, or pull them out of your arses.

because match-ups mean nothing in basketball. right? just like how everyone was happy we got portland instead of the jazz or mavs last year. or like how we took the lakers to 7 games (with blowout wins) which other team did that? oh yeah, no other team did.

anyway, this thread is about the games that were played between the rockets n bulls. speculate all you want about what ifs but there is no evidence that the bulls wouldve beat the rockets. tinman has provided hard evidence that we owned them regular season. but yeah, MJ stepped it up in the playoffs and hakeem was a lazy b*stard incapable of stepping up in the playoffs.

houston sucked. thank the holy Jordan for our championships. yay. gtfo and please let the door hit you on your way out.

Jerry seems like a smart sports fan, generally. I'm sure he's a good fan of ... some team. :p

Rockets were better than the bulls in 95. What happen when Jordan Had a full season under his belt in 96. They set the record for wins in a regular season (72) and started another 3 peat. I have to agree with the media about if he didn't retire it would be 8 in row. That second 3 peat convince me.

It looks like you're pissed when the truth hit you right in the face. Jordan was the difference and the team followed his lead because of his determined will to win.

I'm done trying to talk sense to these Bulls nuthuggers. These guys have totally bought into the Jordan mystique without considering the facts.

I'm with you Tinman it is a sad day when people who claim to be Rockets' fans not only won't stand up for their team but also will ignore facts to argue against their team.

Yep. I too posted his scoring in some key games, his ppg in different series. I posted all of that.

But Jerry is living with the Jordan of highlight land, and not the real Michael Jordan. So he rationalizes actual facts away to fit into his fantasy highlight land of Michael Jordan.

Mr. tinman, sir... do you remember how one time, after the Bulls lost to the Rockets at the Compaq Center (i believe it was not The Summit anymore), the game ended and a cameraman almost got hit by Phil Jackson when it followed him down the court? one of the best moments in my life: "YOU LOST, PHIL! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOW?" "I'm going  to hit you"

Yup, I bet he doesn't even know the assistant coaches of the Bulls either:

Rockets would pose problems, Bulls aide says

    By EDDIE SEFKO
    Staff

CHICAGO -- Now that the NBA Finals have turned into a near-rout, the inevitable question is whether any team in the NBA could have been tougher on the Chicago Bulls than Phoenix.

Assistant coach John Bach didn't hesitate when asked the question.

"Oh, we've had our troubles with teams," Bach said. "Look at Houston. They've created a lot of problems for us.

"It's not that we don't have problems. We're mortal."

The Rockets won both meetings with the Bulls this season, by 14 points in Chicago and 11 at The Summit. The Rockets have won five of the six meetings in the last three seasons.

It is interesting to note that the team the Bulls have had the most trouble with in the playoffs, New York, is the team with the best center among opponents Chicago has had to face.

In winning two consecutive championships, the Bulls have faced Kevin Duckworth of Portland and Vlade Divac of the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals.

Hakeem Olajuwon averaged 23 points and 15 rebounds in the two regular-season meetings against the Bulls this season.

Bulls would have crushed us. We were down in series both years where a team won 3 games before us. Knicks were up 3-2 in 1994 and Suns up 3-2 in 1995. A championship team isn't losing a series when they are up 3-2.

The thing about Michael Jordan is and was that he is overrated. Just thinking about how Kobe at his best "The Black Mamba" can just get that shot like that and instill fear... I was a Jordan observer back then and I never got why this guy was reveared so much. There were obvious droughts later in his career. In some his youth he is like Kobe and nearly unstoppable but the championship years was based his team work. But let's face it Kobe at his best will probably take Mike to school any day.
