hey at least you get to see Yao play, think about the people overseas here who can't attend a NBA game in person.

that beginning of Clutch City was very important. Rudy mentioned how he saw kids in Houston wearing Chicago Bulls jerseys, he said " I want the kids in Houston to love the Houston Rockets!!"

Dream will always live on DVD and NBATV and ESPN Classics!

I totally agree with this. The Rocket nation must be educated one. I don't know how many of you deal with other NBA fans, but it doesn't look good if we can't even respect our own history!

Laker fans are always united. They always talk great about their teams and former players. No one disses Magic or Worthy for the personal life problems :(

I hate to rate us as whole as worse than the Lakers fans cause I know the die hard Rocket fan is just as strong or better. but as a collective, we can't disrespect our history!

I do see playoff losses where Jordan's Bulls lost to the Magic in '95, and those same Magic were swept by the Rockets.

LMAO i didn't know Houston changed there name to Magics in 95.LMFAO.It's all specualtation really.IMO Bulls would of won, but that doesn't make my opinion right. It's just a fun topic NBA fans will talk about forever like Mj vs kobe or who the best center ever(Hakeem IMO).

    rookie,
his point was Jordan DID play in 1995. Look it up.
the reason they lost wasn't because he was 'rusty'. it was because the front court was weak compared to Orlando's front court.

Well they didn't whip each other because they didn't play D on each other.I don't see how They owned each other.I am sure Mj dunked by him or dunked on him and Hakeem blked his shot.

hmm I didn't say anything about why they loss to the magics.I agree they loss because there rebounding and MJ being out of BB for 1 half years didn't help either. My point was they didn't play in the playoffs or finals.

is that you would tell a Bulls fan?
no confidence in YOUR HOUSTON ROCKETS? is that it?
what is the definition of being a fan then if you can't stick up for team's accomplishments or tell facts supporting them?

making excuses for MJ? that sounds like a Bulls fan. not a Rockets fan.
A Rocket fan knows that they never met in the playoffs but that doesn't mean they never met.

And the times they met, the Rockets won. no what ifs, just facts. bulls fan can either say you are lying or agree that you are telling the truth.

    Cause what ifs are stupid.

I don't want Bulls fans or any other NBA fans thinking the Rocket fans are doubting their own championships. That's like we're the biggest cowards in the NBA.

I said they didn't play in the playoffs where the intencity and defense is up.I am not taking away any chips from the Rockets.Who says they didn't deserve it?They beat the teams and won.I never said they didn't deserve it.This thread is a whole "What If" thread anyways.I guess u thought every single person would agree with u.U knew from the start the chips from 94-5 would come into ?.This was going to lead to that no matter what.

I ran into Super Mario once at a Starbuck's and insisted on paying for his drink, saying it was the least I could do for a true Houston legend. I even told him I could 'work something out' if he wanted to coach the Rockets, something along the lines of persuading the current coach to 'disappear' and 'convincing' the owner that he's the right man for the job.

Unfortunately, he only took me up on the free drink...

Great post Tinman. I am living in Chicago and I have this debate with Chicagoans all the time. They are always shocked when I bring up the fact that the Rockets had an winning record against the Bulls in the regular season during their three-peat. The truth is that we may not have been an overall better team, but we just matched up beautifully against them. Their most potent offensive players had to go against our best defenders, while their weakest defender had to guard the Dream. Furthermore, they didn't have anyone that could exploit our only defensive weakness in Kenny Smith. So, lets just say we would have had a great chance of winning the Championship even with the Bulls standing our way.

    sorry uneducated fan.

Dream and MJ came to the NBA at the same time. the same year. 1984.
Dream made the finals first 1986.
The Rockets with Dream beat the Bulls with MJ in their meetings.

    Everything I said is a fact. I don't speculate.

sorry i don't stick up for only the yao ming rockets. i stick up for every rocket team. dream, moses, ralph, even steve francis.

i'm a ROCKETS ONLY FAN. you disrespect any Rocket teams, you disrespect THEM ALL.

you are right. but MJ never destroyed Maxwell, or even Sleepy Floyd or Robert Reid.

Dream on the other hand absolutely abused the entire Bulls front line. look at the stats, look at the games.

Agreed Hakeem can't be gaurded by Grant or cart. They would have to send the double and the 3 point shooters would have a field day.I just think MJ would of steped it up.Why did he have to go play baseball.Houston vs Bulls could of been the greatest series ever.well i guess u can't have anything.
