I'm hoping that the team is so relieved to make it out of the 1st round that they will start playing a lot looser. The pressure is all on the fakers, make no mistake about it.
1 reason, i've seen flashes of our entry pass to yao when he's being fronted, and i like what i've seen the lakers do front yao, especially in 4th quarters, as long as yao gets the ball, we can go the distance with the lakers
1. The NBA wants a kobe vs Lebron finals for the ratings, so I wouldn't be suprised to see that the Refs have the same agenda. 2. Size! when Yao goes out our 2nd string front court (Scola, Hayes, Landry) cant match the hieght of even their SF lamar odom. With no deke there will be a party in the lane once Yao goes out. 3. Yao vs. Gasol. First off I think Yao will be in foul trouble alot during this series, he wont even be able to sneeze at kobe without getting a look from refs. Anytime in the recent past ive seen gasol vs Yao they pretty much come out even. considering all the other scoring threats they have we would need Yao to produce at a very high level to stay competitive. 4. No Closer. We cant afford to go on 4th quarter droughts against the lakers like we did with portland. When the game gets close we all know who the lakers are gonna look to, who do we look too considering Ron's shot selection and our in ability to counter a basic front on Yao. Don't get me wrong Im a huge Rockets fan and I hope we beat LA but considering the turnover we had this year, and the injuries, I dont see it happening. Regardless Im proud of what the rockets have accomplished, there can only be one champion, and im glad to see we are at least in the mix and haven't given up. lakers in 6 next year our season ends in JUNE
Because basketball is a 5 on 5 game and if houston's five outplays L.A.'s five then houston's five will win.
