    http://www.vox.com/2014/7/1/5850830/war-on-drugs-racist-minorities

Since its inception, the war on drugs has disproportionately affected minority Americans far more than white Americans.

To some extent, the racial disparity speaks to the overall inequality in the US criminal justice system. But it's also true minorities fall victim to tactics specifically deployed in the war on drugs much more often than white people. Here are four essential facts to understanding how, exactly, the war on drugs disproportionately hurts minorities.

    1) Black and white populations use drugs at similar rates

White and black people report using drugs at similar rates, according to the latest data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. There's some variance from drug to drug: White people report more often using cocaine, heroin, and hallucinogens, while black people report more mar1juana and crack cocaine use.

While I certainly agree with your premise that Blacks are disproportionately arrested for possession of narcotics, your title could have been a bit better, in my opinion.

The trickle down effect of this is devestating
    1. Punishments mean - removal from work force, limiting opportunities for wealth building, future impediments to 'productive living'
not to mention the fines and fees removed from their families - including lawyers fees etc
Not to mention not being in their kids lives [restarting the cycle]
    2. The record means restriction from some jobs forever, limited in others,

meanwhile the white folx get by with a warning .. .all those opportunities intacted and then get to b**** about how those criminals deserve what they get while never acknowledging that they have received the privileged special treatment

I take no drugs and never have. Therefore your title is incorrect.

Your entire thread is a lie and your very existence is now open for debate.
