So your saying we be optimistic and let it be the way it is and be patient for another 10-11 years to get out of the first round.

I understand you speaking out about all the nonsense threads in the GARM, and I would have to agree, but I think waiting for the last 4 or 5 years since Tracy and Yao became teammates to just get out of the first round is not too much to ask.

A lot of things have lead up to this point like blowing a 2-0 lead coming back home.

O well, everything happens for a reason right. Who knows we just may get it together by seasons end and make a push in the playoffs.

Steve Francis, Cat Mobley, Kenny Thomas, Mo Taylor, Eddie Griffin, Kevin Cato, Clarence Wetherspoon, Marc Jackson, Juwan Howard, Scott Padgett, Ryan Bowen, Bob Sura, Jon Barry, Adrian Griffin, Jim Jackson, David Westley, Stromile Swift, Bobby Jackson, Mike Harris, Steve Novak, Bonzi Wells, Gerald Green, Donte Greene, Jeff Van Gundy, etc have all been sacrificed while we were rebuilding. Let's salute them with the honor and respect they deserve. All of them should be in our memory forever.

What kind of kool-aid is this guy sipping on?

Rome wasn't built in a day???? Totally irrelevant b/c the Roman Empire had a great plan and foundation for growth, along with a brilliant leader.

the Rockets have none of those. One could argue a great foundation, but each of our fundamental players have flaws... huge flaws.. to their games.

So in the beginning process, one might consider comparing the Rockets to Rome, but in the long haul, we are just like the thousands of failed nations who were mismanaged.

    See the US under Bush.

to prove that Rome burnt to the ground?

how about when Hannibal keep whipping the Roman army?

what about Caligula? He was the emperor who went crazy.

    What about Pompeii?

"ROME" is a figure of speech. You people are taking it much too literally. Obviously, I'm alluding to the fact that nothing great can be built instantaneoulsy with no perseverance or patience.

The Celtics built Rome, in one season.
    The Rockets are building Pompeii.

Rome wasn't built in a day, but it is certainly on fire this day.

I have seen people around here wanting to trade McGrady for Marbury, Battier for Travis Outlaw and now they want to pick up Corey Maggette. Panic trades don't work- see: Suns, Phoenix. The full team has only played together three games. Three.

Lady luck granted the Celtics with perfect health last season. Could you say the same for our Big Three?

Are you saying our team is built in the immediate vicinity of a volcano? If you want to be a smartass, at least make some sensible connections instead of pulling historic natural disasters out of your a$$

The Suns got rid of Marion causes he wanted to leave, not because of panic.
    it was well documented.

The panic part was letting go of D'Antoni for Porter.

Yeah the volcano exploded. Which will happen this year if do nothing in the playoffs. this team will have major changes if it happens.

Sorry that I know more about world history than you dude. Ceasar = JVG, Les= Brutis

    Et Tu Brute?

    google that up.

No, actual it was panic. Did the Gasol trade happen to slip your mind? As soon as the Lakers landed Gasol for a bag a chips, the Suns and Mavs BOTH hit the panic button and traded away their future potential for declining veterans with massive contracts. Sure, Marion wanted out, but PHX didn't care until the Gasol trade was made.

PANIC! Look at where that brought these two former Western powerhouses.

at least they were powerhouses, we have been sitting here in 1st round overrated mode for the longest time.

if we drop the first round this year again, do you seriously think we could win a championship with this nucleus?

Rome is already built. And now all the doors and windows are closing due to the age of the foundation.
