First everyone should know this team was not built in a day, but in a few years. Then if you watched last night game, you seem to see a team which was built in a day, maybe we should build another Rome in a couple of days.
We gotta be positive. We know we have a talented team and all the pieces to win it all. Just gotta stay healthly and buil the chemistry and get those systems to work.
Agree hayesfan, when they get everybody back and can finally get some work in practice (they didn't have that even in preseason) I think you will see a very dominant team if most stay healthy. I would still like to see them get an athletic shotblocker with some length.
Yeah, chill, who cares if the team finishes around 7th or 8th and fails to advance again. So what if we keep losing to crap teams all year because of the same old, lack of effort and no teamwork from 2 of our key players. I mean Rome wasn't built in a day, right? DD
but Rome actually was built eventually and showed promise along the way; I am pretty bbalanced person but I think some reasonable doubt is warranted at this point.
I have been very patient with this team this season. However, it is clear after the last two games the problem with this team is McGrady and Ron Artest. As soon as the were out, we played well together. Eventhough we didn't win every game we hustled and used every player on the floor. As soon as they return, what happens? 7 missed threes from them in the last two minutes against the Knicks. That is what happens. It is my opinion that Artest needs to go. History shows we can win games with McGrady, eventhough we have not gone past the first round. Ron Artest is a Free Agent at the end of this season, and I highly doubt he will re-sign with us. I have defended the team for a long time, but we have to make a move.
10 games, thats all I'm asking for....10 games with our big 3, Shane and napolean midget PG. then lets see where we are, and who gets the finger pointed at them.
2004 to 2009 in Rome years is 100 years. Lack of advancing past 1st round here is 260 Rome years. Other teams are completing their Romes in under 25
Yeah but NBA teams are built and rebuilt in less than THIRTEEN YEARS! Why do people make these smiley face threads. It is like red meat to looooooooooooog suffering Rockets fans, who have watched other teams build and rebuild while we run in place. We don't get anywhere, stuck! The "be patient" refrain has long since gone the the way of the Do Do bird around here. Not patient, not going to be patient.
Yup, this team will be ready. TMac is bringing the drinks. Artest is bringing the chips and salsa. Yao is getting the home entertainment system installed with a 102" big screen TV. We don't want any of them to get injured, otherwise we might not have an NBA playoff viewing party.
Dont sweat it. We're all frustrated, but I've learned to let it go and be more optimistic. As long as our guys are on the court for the playoffs, it's all gravy. That's the point of this thread!
