Getting all philosophical like, it's difficult to have zero margin of doubt for a posteriori knowledge. We're not omniscient, so we rely on others and their work to have a certain degree of accuracy. It's common sense that you don't have to be an expert of everything to know anything.
That wasn't meant to be a snide remark, mclawson, it was an expression of how evolution confounds me, what everyone finds logical seems illogical to me, that was just an expression of how amphibian evolution is directly connected to humah evolution. I still don't see where anything happened except adaptation which to me is not a case of macro evolution, this does not prove to me that they are headed to become birds in another 50 million years... why should this substantiate natural selection? It is obvious a study in adaptation, survival and extinction- the hybrids are weak and will likely not survive unless they adapt. And the only reason I have not posted on statistics is because the only ones I can remember come from a mathematician who is a Christian and I would rather google it when I have time and look at statistical analysis from a non Christian statistician, if possible. I think I made it clear and sincerely I am not posting with any expertise, I can't prove my position, I am only debating sort of 'devil's advocate', I believe in special creation by God which is a religious viewpoint. I certainly understand the evidence behind the evolution theory and I would be fine to come to believe it is accurate and fact, since that would not shake or destroy my Christian faith. In D&D sometimes this is fun, sometimes it is interesting, but it is rarely like real life... so I want you to know I respect your posts and listen also.
Fair enough. This is just showing a transition from one species to another. One small step for salamander kind, if you will. When things like this add up over (geologic) time, it leads to what some call macro-evolution (which is simply lots of so-called micro-evolution added up). What about the book offer? I'm being sincere in my offer to have one shipped right to your home or office if you'll read it. I think you'd find it interesting at the very least. As for how it relates to human evolution, we are a product of similar cummulative small events as well, with some larger ones tossed in along the way. For example, http://www.evolutionpages.com/chromosome_2.htm details one of the major ones. I'd type my own summary, but since I'm using w3m as a browser right now, that would be a bit tedious for me. I'll follow up at home if needed. Again, let me know about the book offer. I can have a copy to you tomorrow if you'll read it.
A "fact" is something we can all agree on with no margin of doubt. For example we can agree that it is a fact that there is at the moment a large diversity of species.
That is a very gracious offer. I struggle to read many books, I am given books very often (sometimes 1-2 per week) to read. I have a huge library in my study at home. I used to read alot of books (I love to read) up to about 5 yrs ago. I read alot of the bible now, and it is very hard for me to find time to read anything else, sometimes I will pick up a classic and read it but that is rare (I just read about 3 months ago "A Tale of Three Kings" that is a great book, but it is the only book I read all of last year) I love to read the bible and just ponder it. Thank you for the kind offer, if you want to send it to me I can browse it pretty fast, I actually read very fast also, just don't retain long term like I used to. Just email me and we can set up something. Thanks again.
