James Dawkins of Elkton was on his way to visit his hospitalized mother when he stopped to walk his dog. The dog fell through ice on a pond and died, despite Dawkins' rescue efforts.

He got home to find police there. Someone had broken into his home and stolen his gun collection.

Then he discovered that he'd lost $150 in cash while trying to rescue his dog. It was all his money for Christmas presents.

everything that happened in your day can be chalked us as just plain ol crappy. unfortunately you had a play in all of it(except maybe the ear part)

whenever i think of a bad day i remember My friend Allison, and just how tought a life can be. it makes an annoying day seem like nothing

My friend allison is part of a normal loving upper middle class family. she was certainly not the product of a bad envinroment. nor was she given less tools than the rest of us. infact she has an intelligence and reasoning far above most. she is also fun funny vibrent and personable. ready to live a dream life if you will.

but in breif I will list the things that have happened to her. It is all true and amazing. Especially amazing concidering how "normal " she is today.

I am not certain of the timeline early on, but alot happened in her pre teen years.

While on vacation with family in Mexico she had earings stolen off ears(ripped through lobes) at around the age of 9. on the same trip while in a crowded elevator, a stranger stick his finger up her but (she was weraing kind of short cotton shorts as was normal back then('80's) she told her sister, and apparently it happened to her sister too. Amazingly enough this happened again later on a crowded train a couple of years later also in Mexico.

as a teenager (13) she was raped in her own home by her brothers friend (older) when brother was not at home. If I recall the brother later beat this dude senseless and never talked to him again.
Also as a teen (15) she was babysitting her little brother who was 7. She was with her best frined walking near the home and a drunk driver blew threw a crosswalk and red light striking her little brother splatering him only feet infront of her. her brother died while under her care (in broad daylight) she didnt talk at all for over 3 months from tis tramatic experience. by the age of 17 she eventually got into drugs(gee I wonder why). coke mainly. she was raped at a party by a stranger. to affect revenge she told said stranger to cut his coke with rat poisoning (they had the same dealer). so this guy almost dies, and is permanently messed up now.
ok so she cleans up by senior year and goes off to collage. lives normal life, meets me after her freshman year (summer co-workers) we get involved after her sophmore year.
she started drinking when we seperate during that winter and before long gets back into coke (we were no longer communicating much, so I was clueless) starts dating a guy that after about 8 months dies in a car crash as he is on his way to visit her. ends up "sucking .... for 20 bucks a pop to support her coke habbits. overdoses twice (mind you this is all while earning a degree in utah) after 2nd OD, she goes and gets clean. has been clean for like 6 years now. we have kept in touch sporaticly the whole time and now I find out she has cancer. colon cancer. she has now defeated it for now, but this girl is only 28, maybe 29 by now, and all of this happens in her life. She is a great person, and has always been as far as i have seen (she has always been sober during the times I have knowner her. It was the time before and between that she had trouble.

so with a life like that I wonder how many bad days she has had?
