I was guilty of this once, I was young and foolish and she was the first chick I really ever was interested in. I wanted to get with the chick really badly but she wasn't that into me. Caused a lot of friction between me and my best friend at the time when he found out. They had "dated" but it was some puppy-dog **** back when they were like 14. This was like 4 years later even though they kind of still had feelings for each other. He said he didn't care, but then later he was trying to tell me it "wasn't cool" and I kind of didn't really care because he was kind of a scumbag at the time who didn't belong with her anyway. I'll tell ya, 16-17 is such an awkward age. I said we were just friends, and thats all we ever were. And it was true. But if she had given me the chance, I would have probably hit that **** and not even thought twice.
Actually, the wedding wasn't awkward at all. Everyone knew the history, which was a couple years old at that point, so it wasn't like it was some big secret. Even the parents new....but they didn't know to what extent. They all just thought we "dated." Silly parents. The rest of the wedding party knew the details, though. They're two of my best friends to this day. And yes....there was an open bar. It was pretty cool, as far as weddings go.
