It was stated earlier. If your friend told YOU it would be fine. But if your friend told you husband he's hot while she was drunk and you were not around to hear it, the story is different. In the OP's story, the friend was gauging the girl's interest. Had she given him a decent response, he would be all over it. If if he DOESN'T hit it after that, he takes comfort in that "I could get my friend's girl if I wanted, I'm doing him a favor by not hitting that." But what really happened is that the OP's girl did the right thing and should gain mucho points for loyalty/trust.

It would be much worse if your friend wasn't drunk. I guess you just need to think how much you value his friendship and if you think you don't really need his friendship then you can just let him go.
