    Genuinely never understood why people think the NBA would ever get away with rigging the lottery. A bunch of owners would just split off and create their own league if the league was cheating them out of a fair shot at the best talent to give it to their preferred destination.

    I believe it was very possible that at one point the league rigged picks.

    The process is now overseen by Ersnt and Young, and it is highly unlikely to be tampered with.

    I knew the draft was rigged when Cleveland got the first pick when LeBron came out. We’re definitely due imo, but I know the league doesn’t want Wemby in Houston.

    What I believe is that the worst record gives us the best chance.
    If there was a better alternative for finishing the season that is realistic, I would be all for it.
    I am not sure I can say I want our guys to be the worst team in the league, but if we are, there is a pot of gold that might be there for the taking.

    If Silas goes to the lottery then yes, there is no way they don't call Houston 1st after seeing that smile in fear of turning it into a frown. No but in all seriousness, If Silas does go I do believe we get Wemby. Dude has tons of luck with challenges and I think it can carry over to the lottery.

    Its not so much rigged, but ''planned'' that way, its a reason why certain players would tweet out congratulating who would be getting the top pick before the draft even started, I think Mutombo did that some yrs back when Philly or some team got 1st overall pick

    All those teams work in unison and they only care about $, so most only want a talent they can use to sell tickets/merchandise, which all teams have for most part, just on diff tiers

    Those owners are just front men who run the institution, the real shot callers are in the shadows and can shut this league or any league down if the owners try to create something new as you mentioned

    The only ones getting cheated are the fans, some fanbases more so than others

    And a team executive is in the actual room when the balls are flying around. So I get what you’re saying.

    But why not air that live? Why do it so secretive in a closed room with no cell phones?
