Evangelicals Returning to a Christian Perspective Even on US Wars?

I pray for him. I voted for him (twice). I clapped and cheered his first inaugural address.

But actions speak louder than words.

I am a Christian but I am personally disturbed over politics that are less than principled, ethical and honest.

I wish we had statesmen in government who were more like some of the earlier public servants in the 18th century.

Men who held ideals, principles and convictions that you read in their writings and see in their actions.

I have been very disappointed and I see action after action that is detrimental to our nation. The same bad guys keep showing up in our governmental beauracracy whether they are republican or democrat.

As a Christian I don't get to spend much time worrying about the decisions of the government, I work for a different Kingdom.

I so enjoy though coming on here and expressing opinions about it.

I vote and I read alot- other than that I am not very politically active. I am probably part of the political problems I feel, but I have so much more to do for the Lord Jesus that I don't have much time for anything else.

I would rather help someone out with God's love than crusade over some political issue.

If anyone has a suggestion of how I could vote for a good presidential candidate and make a difference please let me know.

I agree with your 2 cents. It's like some of these so called leaders have said "the time to convert and come to Christ is over, consider yourselves screwed" What better way to stop people from becoming Christians or even listening to the message than to go this route?

great way to say it. i feel the exact same way.

 

This thread illustrates more reason for the separation of church and state. By tying faith to a political party and seeking to use that party to gain political power only ends up diluting the message of that faith while reducing the pool of potential converts who find themselves uncomfortable with the political party.

We(The American Government/The United States public) Did NOT have anything to do with the Holocaust.

Just like Muslims can say it is only a small percentage of their numbers doing bad stuff....we the people are not responsible for the activities of a few greedy companies/industrialists.
