You can go as far over the cap as you want to sign your own free agents....we would have incurred the luxury tax which we will have to pay anyway....as far as losing Mo T...we should have been so lucky

    - They are sitting at home because there team sucks ass. It should have never been that close, if Webber is half the star you think he is.

    - I dunno, why don't you try reading posts?

    - Not like you said. Again, try reading.

oh, I can use emoticons too.

Webber is still playing...the last time I checked, that's all that matters.

    You said
...so does that mean we need to hang out with the ping pong people until we can sign someone who will DEFINITELY win us a ring? Looks to me it is exactly like I said.

Webber is still playing because of the supporting cast he has. On this team, as the main player, he wouldn't lead us anywhere in the playoffs, imo.

I said we should stay in the lotto til we get a player who will elevate his game in the playoffs and help us do some damage OR one of the current players we have elevates their game to that status.

You said we should stay in the lotto til we get Duncan or Shaq, which is a twisted crock of what I said. Big guys that talented come around what? Every 8 years or so maybe?

Actually, you said two different things...you said...

To that, I said that the only 2 guys who could do that (based on actual results) are Shaq and Duncan

    you also said...

which tells me (correct me if im wrong) youd rather be in the lotto without Webber than be in the playoffs with him

Webber is not a star on a consistent basis like Duncan and Dirk and he makes more money with a better supporting case. If Webber were traded to either team San An or Big D, the edge switches to Sac in either case.

Okay let's say we traded for Webber, we now have CaT, Steve, and Web at the 4. Our defense, which is issue has not improved. Kenny Thomas is a much better defensive player than Webber. Yeah I hear you, Webber would score more, but we have enough people to put the ball in the hole. Your looking for the next Hakeem to give us a serious post presence. Webber is having a hard time against LaFrenz.

In addition, if we traded KT and MoTaylor for Webber we would have been the number 8 seed going against Sacremento, who would have KT and MoTaylor. I guarantee we're out in the 1st round in a 3 game sweep. Any takers

Let's agree that we would be in the playoffs with Webber, however, we would be stuck just like Minnesota, 1st Round and gone.

We could accomplish this for the next 6 years with ease or are we trying to get to the title before Dallas, San An, Clippers, Portland etc... Yes, Webber is scorer, however, there are other scorers who fit the Rockets better than Webber and provides better chemistry/defense (He doesn't improve the Rockets in the category that we absolutely suck in).

NJ, would you opt for Webber over Garnett or Odom. I think either one puts us closer to the championship goal than CWebb. CWebb's 28 or 29, with 3 or 4 more good years in which we wouldn't win the title with him any way.

I would definitely take Garnett over Webber...as far as Odom, I'm not so sure because that would mean that Mo T would still be at the 4 and we have no rebounding...Odom would be a good fit but I dont know that he would make us as good as we would be if we had Webber.
