dude, Yao is 7-6.. that's why they worked on him so hard and he is finally showing some signs of improvement.. but Lampe has nothing.. absolutely nothing... he is not that tall (well, 6-11 aint bad)but he cant jump, he cant catch a ball, he cant drive, he cant shoot FT, he cant do anything.. they said he has a good midrange J, but I dont care about his midrange, we need a real PF.. and finally, what do u expect from a guy who we got him in exchange for Moochie ??
I am exaggerating a lil bit .. but he still SUX so bad... and I dont know what he did to disrespect former rockets .. what did he do ??
Head is not worth keeping at all.. I dont think he can stay in the NBA .. I think that was a terrrible draft for us and he is one of the main reasons of the messed up season.. Head cant shoot.. he had a couple of good games and that's it, everybody started thinking that he will be the next Michael Jordan.. some fans even want him to play PG.. he got no passing skills, no handles, no nothing.. the boy SUX.. and u cant work on his shot because it is fundamentally wrong and really ugly.. he has no potential or basics that u can build on .. so please, lets trade him or waive him and make some serious moves in the SG spot (to back up DWES)
If that is the case (and I agree), Houston should play him major minutes in the remaining games to showcase his shooting.
LOL, yeah my bad. I figured he was the next Jordan. I guess I'll have to lower my expectations and turn him into the next Mitch Richmond. I guess we should just eat the rest of his rookie deal and cut him.

see, I dont know what's wrong with y'all and all the love for Luther.. please, give me one thing that LUther can do well other than turnovers & bad passes.. I know he is a rookie, but when Sam CAssell was a rookie, he was good and he was worth keeping because he had good fundamentals.. Head has nothing.. he had 5 good games in the preseason and the first couple games in the season, then he hit his (ROOKIE WALL as everybody says)..and sucked ever since.. he had a couple of winning 3's, but that doesn't make him good .. seems like the dang rookie wall is made of steel or something.. I thought the same way y'all did at the beginning, I thought he was a great pick up for us and i was LIke "how the heck did we get him #24, he should've been in the top 5".. but then, after his huge slump (just 70 games), I figured that these 70 games were his reality, not bad slump or rookie wall..and the first 5 games were actually a HOT STREAK that ended just late enough that everybody believed that he as a great player and a great pick up for us... if y'all want to argue with me about Head, give me a proof that he was a great pick up for us, and please dont compare him with other rookies, because this year's rooks are terrible (except for the N.O midget and VIllanueva).. I am not a believer in stats, but even stats support my opinion... now, after this post, everybody will start attacking me and going crazy on me because I said that our 24th pick sucked... but try to think about it first, and pretend that u dont know Head, and watch a game for him.. and see how bad he sucks.. and dont say "he is still a rookie, he will develop,he can shoot...". he has no fundamentals or basics of basketball and especially his ugly shot ...
well, you have a point, the season drove me crazy.. but the things I am saying are based on facts & observations.. I am not a hater at all.. but I am a big fan of the rockets and I always want them to win.. . I've been reading clutchfans for 2 years .. and I got really mad when I saw all the posts saying good stuff about Head ..and I was extremely happy when I registered because I wanted to let people see the reality of Luther.. Y'all shouldn't judge a player by the first impression, you can do that at work, in your love life, but not in basketball ... and unfortunately, some people just watched a couple of good games for Luther and thought that he is really good.. and that reminds me a lot of Mobley.. everybody loved Mobley because he was a little flashY (all he could do is shoot 3's and turnovers).. they look at how good he shoots and they forget his major weaknesses in other areas (passing, handles, SLOWNESS in bringin the ball up the court...)
Luther head will most likely make one of the all rookie teams. Not a bad pick imo, I dont know what your problem is (Rockets Mac) but you really need stop giving Head such a hard time.
he would make it because this year's rookies suck... I agree that he aint bad for #24.. but still, u cant play him more than 5 minutes in a game that ur winning by 40... and for the last sentence, .. now that's funny..
I think for the last to games are starting line up should look like this PG-Rafer or Luther ( i would like to see more of him at the point to see his decison makeing SG- Luther SF- Bogans PF- Hayes C- Stro ( he has been playing realy good lately) this line up would be some what effective becouse stro at center would be quicker then the 2 Centers we have to play in da next to game ( Muhammed and Camby) I meen we have nothing to lose so why not try some new things!!!!!!!!!!!
The only statement I agree with out of that tirade is "some fans want him to play PG". Who would you have taken with that pick that is better than Luther. He was taken because he knows how to play in crunch time on a winning program. You're the only one I've read that mentioned him & MJ in the same paragraph. Head can shoot though he tends to be streaky. If you think his shot is so fundamentally wrong & ugly(I don't), that is exactly why you can work with his shot to improve it. Head wasn't picked to play heavy minutes right off the bat, but to bring around slowly with practice time. The injuries changed that plan. The mistakes he makes were supposed to have been in practice, not real games. So how 'bout cutting him some slack! He'll be around next year to compete for a rotation spot.
u know what, this is the best reply I've gotten in this whole thread.. everybody attacks me and fires at me because I dont like Luther.. u have a good point.. he was the best player to take in the 24th pick.. but when u draft a player in he 24th pick, u cant play him huge minutes.. I know about the injuries and everything. but it seems like fans want him to start next year as our PG and we should build the team around him.. I know I was a lil harsh on Luther, but it's just because I go crazy when I see stuff like "Luther would be a good PG" and "Luther is a great Clutch player".. if we want to keep Luther or any player taken in the 24th pick, he should have a minor role on the team and nave 5-10 minutes in the team until he matures and improves... and about the Luther & MJ thing, I was just exaggerating... dont take it seriously..
