I guess I was fooled into believing that LA won the series due to a severe talent advantage. Now I find out that that had nothing to do with it, and the real reason was the Rockets' coach wasn't speaking in first person in the huddle? Hey, is that you posting in the stands there?
Coach Adelman have not got enough credit that he deserves from our fans. This would be another first round exit without him.
So then, am I to believe you think having a "severe talent advantage" means a team will never lose a game? The Lakers have a talent advantage, but not a "severe" one as evidenced by our 7 game series with them. If you think the Rockets were on their best "mental game" in their losses, well, I don't have much more I can tell you. However, if you recognize the Lakers are a little deficient in the mental game at times, you'll easily see that the series was a very, very winnable series for us. I think we lost the game as a result of the psychological game, not the physical talent game. Game 3 was critical to the series. Compare the Rockets team of game 3 to that of game 1. See the difference? The Lakers "severe talent advantage" did nothing for them in game 1. Thus, the series was VERY winnable for us. I don't know how easier I can break it down. I hope you get what I mean.
RA has done his job, very solid. He ran the team kinda loose in regular season, but tighten the ship in playoffs. When player was not doing what he supposed to do, he tok them out more in playoffs than in regular seasons. My only concern is he still can't run a good designed play with very limited short clock. Maybe that has more to do with the ability of AB and Ron.
