    Thank you OHMSS.... bait snagged.

Further, there is a history to my statement.... trollbot attempted to say that the best European team is as good as the best NBA team... he relied on the Lakers losing in a meaningless pre-season game as proof.... however, teams in the EPL have lost to MLS teams in the past... therefore, MLS > or + EPL.

You are so wrong. You know that right. Sada has been a backup for two years for Barca. Rubio started, not Sada. What you are saying is Rubio lost his starting job to Sada for 3 games at the end of the season, but he still played more minutes. That's a coaching manuever to take pressure off a guy...duh. And for nearly 40 games before that Rubio was indeed the starter. Sada didn't make the Beijing Olympic team either...which Rubio did. Plus, Sada is projected to be back on the bench again. You're not the only one who lives in Europe.

Even if you want to try to argue that, fact still remains that you said Rubio is the worst player on Barca and Euroleague teams only play their best players. Clearly one of those statements is false, whether Rubio is the starter or not...which he is.

Sorry for the offtopic, it seems that finally we won't see Donatas coming back with the national team. The injuries of Javotkas & Songaila look minor.

Croatian Sensat, Hezonja or Saric? Do you see any of them with chances to reach the level of Kukoc?

In related news, OHMSS was shocked when he discovered that basketballs were round. Now back to our discussion.

Rubio was benched 3 different times during the last season in favor of Sada. Also, Rubio did not close games. Lakovic closed games.

Also, Rubio never ran the team's offense in any important moment or any important game. Navarro did. Rubio was never anything more than a very minor bit player on Barca.

Truthfully, that shows you just how bad Rubio is going to be.

Might as well run your offense through Eddie House...

This makes the Barca coaching staff sound really confused.

Navarro can dribble. Navarro can run the pick and roll. Eddie House can do neither.

I think I know what game is being set up here... once Rubio joins the NBA, if he's great it will be because the NBA sucks... if he is terrible it's because an "expert" established this before-hand.

Read my post, that's what I told you. I know that. But Rubio still got more minutes. It was just a coaching manuever to get the starter's confidence back.

Still you are avoided you dumb comment that Euroleague teams only play their best players (don't develop young players) while also saying Rubio is the WORST player on Barca.

You called him the Worst. You are wrong...clearly. Go ahead, keep avoiding you false statement, and keep thinking you know more about Rubio than I do. I watch him just as much if not more than you. I live here too. Have friends with season tickets to Barca...and on and on. You are flat out wrong to call him the WORST player, and you are flat out wrong to say Euroleague teams only play their best players.

Navarro and Lakovic were injured all season long. They played the whole year with injury problems. That was the ONLY and SOLE reason why Rubio logged more minutes.

You are just an idiot....then why did Rubio start the whole previous year too

    stupid fu!k

And you still haven't answered why you said Euroleague clubs only play the best players while Rubio is the worst.

Oh, because of injuries....is that your new reason.

OHMMS...you show a complete lack of understanding of basketball...

probably because you are from Europe. Us NBA season ticketholders who move to Europe and buy tickets and go to games and talk to fans who know Barca know you are an idiot.

Let me make this clear...you are a complete idiot.

Oh, and you stilled haven't answered why you said Euroleague teams only play their best players.

The reason you won't answer that is because you are avoiding the question.

Do you know what that means.

That means we all know you are not willing to run away with your tail under your legs...or something like that.

Darjus Lavrinovic was unable to overcome his injury and was cut from Lithuania's national team.

Despite this, Motiejunas still was not selected to the team. Marius Petravicius was chosen instead.

So even with one of their big men going down with any injury, Motiejunas still did not make the Lithuanian national team:

    http://www.eurobasket2011.com/en/coid_LIDUxy2oHu6,AT0jYgJYI0.articleMode_on.html

The hosts will have a hard time filling the void that Darjus Lavrinovic leaves in the paint. The experienced center is suffering an Achilles tendon injury and as a result coach Kestutis Kemzura had no choice but to leave him out of the final squad.

    Lithuania EuroBasket 2011 squad:

    Šarūnas Jasikevičius
    Mantas Kalnietis
    Tomas Delininkaitis
    Rimantas Kaukėnas
    Martynas Pocius
    Simas Jasaitis
    Paulius Jankūnas
    Darius Songaila
    Kšyštof Lavrinovič
    Jonas Valančiūnas
    Marijonas Petravičius
    Robertas Javtokas

I'll concede that the Euro league is probably "tougher" than the NBA, in the sense that figure skating is "tougher" than the majority of NBA games as they are currently officiated.

Tonya Harding would have gotten a techinical foul in the NBA.

    Chris Kaman says so too.

    http://www.heinnews.com/basketball/...uropean-ball-more-physical-closer-atmosphere/

So now both Fratello and Kaman have said that European basketball is more physical than the NBA is.

Doesn't seem that far-fetched to me.

I have to watch hockey to wash my mouth out after some modern NBA games.
