MoT's Achilles injury was serious and its tough to come back and play at 100% especially for a big guy. Donovan Bailey (sprinter) ruptured his playing pick-up ball -- after a long recovery period he just wasn't able to compete at the highest levels and retired. This doesn't mean Mo won't make it back, but the pounding of an NBA season is going to be rough on a weak tendon. Here's my take from the small bits of info i've picked up here and there- The Rockets like KT's toughness and overall work ethic he's a guy they want to keep around. MoT will be eased back into the line-up slowly--- as his tendon shows how it is going to hold up. Mo will probable need to gain his confidence back, because that sickening popping sound will be on his mind. Now here is pure speculation--- If everything goes well we have 3 PFs who are starter quality. I think the Rockets will try and trade Mo before the deadline to lose the salary, the injury risk, and the problems that are going to come up when Griffin is ready to start which is about season away. KT becomes an excellent reserve we can afford to keep around.
i dig our team next year. we got depth that's for sure...team chemistry will be seen. i'm not being negative or anything but i'll just remind everyone that depth don't mean anything w/o chemistry. just ask the blazers how well they're depth is doing for them.
You have to remember the Clipps also have Marco Jaric who may turn out to be real good. I have a feeling he's gonna be a better Tony Parker. However, I don't see how the Clipps can keep Miles coming off the bench. I know Odom is much better right now but the only way to gain experience is to play and for everything that's invested in Miles, they should be playing him big minutes this year.
They missed Dan Langi and Kevin Willis from the 2001-2002. Oh, may be they were injured part of the season.
