Thanks Grendal :) Those of us without cable don't get the "pleasure" of watching that lovely show.

    **sarcasm meter overload**

I really wish I knew someone who knew someone so I too could host my own show and entertain the masses with moronic commentary

this is so right. Also what alot of the quote basketball experts aren't understanding is the fact that during this time Tmac has regained his confidence and that is the one thing the basketball world should and need to fear. Once Yao is back we will have two allstars on our team who will be averaging more than 25 pts. a game with a great cast of role players tell me who will stop us. JUST TELL ME WHO???????????

Actually, those guys are not idiots at all,...although they say tons of idiotic things. Cold Pizza and all those other 2 man sports talk shows (PTI, Around the Horn, etc) all have the same strategy: argue with each other. One person always says one thing, and the other guy says the opposite. Then everyone gets excited about the drama and the arguing, and keep watching. Then Skip, Woody, and all the other guys get paid way more then they're worth, because people are still watching. Maybe we are the idiots for continuing to support these guys careers by watching their shows.

Using their logic, I should stop eating too much curry, because whenever I eat too much curry I have diarrea, and the last time this season I had diarrea there was a huge snow storm in Colorado that caused a lot of damage. Therefore, I shouldn't eat too much curry because it will cause another snow storm.

We're talking about Skip Bayless people, Skip Bayless. It's like taking your crazy uncle that gets drunk at family functions then always offers his radical, ridiculous opinions on sports then giving him his own TV show.

So true. That's why I try to avoid most shows like this. They're all over the dial nowadays. TV and radio. And they seem to be multiplying.

I don't find it surprising. Some people will always hate on yao till he wins a championship and he probably never watches many rockets games. However, when you consider the fact that some people here have the same sentiment and want to trade yao now, it's even less surprising.

Someone explain to me why Dirk is so gifted for being a jump shooter despite being 7 feet tall, yet Yao is soft for having a jump shot at 7'6.

Also why was it when Amare was hurt the Suns learned how to win without him and were going to be dominant with his return. But when Yao gets hurt and the Rox are learning to win without him, they are better without him.

The big reasons the Rox are 6-2 without Yao is obviously the play of Tmac, but also the incredible improvement of Howard, Battier, and Deke since Yao got hurt.

On PTI today they brought this up and Wilbon said that when Yao comes back, every team would have to look out for us. Kornheiser didn't really respond.

Never, I repeat, NEVER listen to anything Skip Bayless has to say. An absolute hypocrite.

Pre Rose Bowl: Vince Young is not a good quarterback. He throws like a girl. USC will kill Texas.

Post Rose Bowl: Vince Young's performance against USC was "Jordanness". He is a God. Texans would be idiots to not draft him #1.

I believe about 2-3 months ago when Yao was playing well and they had a discussion about him on Cold Pizza. The host Hannah Storm was an absolute b****. Woody Paige knew what was up and complimented Yao, but at the very end, Hannah said all I know is that Yao is in the top 5 in one category... turnovers. Then she rolled her eyes  like a TOTAL b****!

Skip Bayless is a fool and should not be allowed on any network or radio show ever again.

    False reports hurt ex-Sun Johnson

    By Jerry Brown, Tribune
    August 10, 2006

The next, he was back at home answering phone calls about a sexual assault case that he knew nothing about — and seething over inaccurate media reports that involved newspapers, television stations, nationally syndicated radio and the Internet.

The problems started Tuesday when Edward Lee “Fast Eddie” Johnson — a former two-time NBA All-Star with the Atlanta Hawks who has had a history of legal problems since his retirement — was arrested and charged with the sexual assault of an 8-year-old girl.

But over the next 24 hours, Edward Arnet Johnson, the former Sixth Man of the Year with the Suns and popular broadcaster, was misidentified as the man arrested by at least three media outlets, including the Chicago Tribune and host Skip Bayless — substituting for the vacationing Jim Rome on Rome’s nationally syndicated radio show.

“This is why athletes have so many problems with the media,” said Johnson, 47, who is four years younger than the Eddie Johnson who was arrested Tuesday. “They don’t do their homework. They don’t bother to check facts before they write things or get on the radio and talk.

“I’m sitting here dumbfounded because 47 years of building a reputation is being destroyed in one morning by something I had nothing do with. I’ve been getting nasty e-mails all morning. It’s a nightmare.”

Johnson was born in Chicago and attended the University of Illinois. The Chicago Tribune ran the headline “Former NBA, Illini star accused of sexual assault” above a wire story of the incident. “Fast Eddie” Johnson was born in Ocala, Fla., and attended Auburn University.

By Wednesday afternoon the headline was changed to “Ex-NBA star Johnson accused in sex rap” on the paper’s ChicagoSports.com Web site.

“That’s my hometown paper, one of the biggest newspapers in the world. And they got it wrong,” Johnson said.

Bayless, known for his rants on the ESPN2 morning show “Cold Pizza,” reported the story inaccurately and added his own commentary before being informed he was talking about the wrong Eddie Johnson and apologizing several minutes later.

“Like that helps,” Johnson said. “By that time, it’s a little late.”

Johnson also said an Atlanta television station attached his picture to the sexual assault story on their Web site — even though “Fast Eddie” Johnson played several seasons with the hometown Hawks.

This is not the first time Edward Lee Johnson has been in trouble with the law. The Ocala Star-Banner reported that Marion County court records show numerous convictions for burglary, battery, robbery, mar1juana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest — all since 1989.

The Suns’ Eddie Johnson said after each offense, his name was linked with the crimes.

“This guy has been haunting me my whole life,” Johnson said.

“Every time he gets in trouble, some of it comes back to me. This is the worst crime, so it’s the worst backlash. It’s been snowballing for the last 24 hours.”

Johnson said he had already been in contact with his attorney Wednesday and was “thinking about” possible legal action.

“What would you do?” Johnson said. “It’s horrible, deflating and unfair.”

Dirk is a gifted jump shooter as everyone can see. His team is the very best team in NBA.

Yao was NOT a jump shooter and should never taking more than 20 JUMPERS a game.

Before I saw Alston's performance, I thought Yao was soft and stupid for missing 20 jumpers in one game or get 30 points by taking 30 shots. But now :p

You're giving these guys too much credit. While I respect the PTI guys' opinion (especially Wilbon), somehow the Cold Pizza guys make me want to disagree w/ both sides of the argument w/ their moronic, uninformed opinions.

What are you talking about. Yao is one of the most efficient scorers in the NBA. Rarely does he take more then 20 shots a game, much less 20 jumpers. Im not saying Dirk is not a great player or jump shooter. I just think it is unfair he doesnt get slammed for not being a post player and banger down low even though he is 7 feet tall. The media rewards him for being a skilled big man, but bashes Yao for being the same thing.
