    ONE of the top guys will fall, Ive never seen a draft come out as predicted by experts. Its just the nature of how the draft works.

    If this is all true, as well as the other rumors involving Atlanta and Minny, then we can start piecing the draft together:

    1. Toronto - Bargnani
    2. Chicago - Aldridge
    3. Charlotte - Roy
    4. Portland - Morrison
    5. Atlanta - Sheldon Williams
    6. Minny - Randy Foye
    7. Boston - Marcus Williams
    8. Houston - Rudy Gay OR Tyrus Thomas

    Crap if we could have a choice between Gay and Thomas, that would be outstanding. Maybe the Rockets know the the three teams in front of them are going a certain direction so any of the projected top guys (Gay, Thomas, or Roy) could be slipping to our pick. And that's why we initiated trade talks in order to get them in for a workout to finalize our draft board.

    If we end up sitting at 8 and getting to choose between Gay or Thomas with the benefit of working them out and interviewing them despite our low draft position, the front office would have absolutely schooled this draft (of course our guy needs to pan out, but you get the idea).

    Nice. I'm really getting excited now.

    Gay is a very interesting prospect to me. Like Thomas, both are athletic freaks that are considerably raw, and both have potential out of this world.

    But I don't see Minni passing on Gay. Even though Foye would be a good pick as well, Gay would be the bpa at #6.

    Did somebody forget about the T'Wolves at #6. I would think Gay would be a possibility there. You love Gay's size, athleticsm and talent, but he really is unagressive and plays w/o passion, doesn't seem like a JVG guy. Brandon roy is still the guy I would be after, but Gay is a close 2nd.

    Gay's attributes sort of remind of of Darius Miles, actually. He didn't show great offensive skills in college. According to the latest analysis at hoopsanalyst.com, he's projected to be a very good defensive player and probably only a modest offensive player.

    It seems that a lot of smoke is being blown. I think the Rockets are trying to move up, but not to get Tyrus or Roy.......I think Rudy Gay is the man they want. I doubt if they try to sit still and hope he drops to us, Minni will snatch him up at 6.

    in addition....(non rocket related)

    I really dont see Atlanta picking Shelden Williams so soon, knowing that they need a point guard bader than a hog need slop...and seeing that Marcus Williams will be on the board, I just don't see it, but who am I? The smoke is really thick right now.

    Darius Miles had a pretty good handle, which is the weakest part of Gay's game. Gay would be like McGrady in Toronto without the playmaking ability.

    Who are you? Just one of the few who sees through the smokescreens -- Atlanta almost certainly will select Marcus Williams with #5 or in some trade down for Williams and a little something extra to chew on.

    That's exactly what I hope we do. This draft looks so unpredictable that I hope we have every possible deal in place to move up or down, and I believe there are enough teams that are thinking the same way that I'm fine with the 8th pick unless things start getting strange...

    That is probably a good comparison and hopefully if we draft Gay that he plays like Tmac did in Toronto.

    I think Gay will be more like Robert Horry when he played with the Rockets.

    Hopefully the Rockets are moving up and can get Roy.

    I'm a huge Gay guy, but I also love Head. If we can get Gay without giving up Head, I'll be one happy camper!
