And I've got goosebumps all over my body that are 60% bigger on the left side of my body than those on the right side.
Poor little kid. I wish him every success in the league. BTW, it's not an issue to be joked about. Stop saying those craps like my left ass is bigger than the right.
That would be outstanding, seeing as how the normal human being only utilizes about 10% of the brains capacity. So, you probably meant 60% of the normal 10%.
My sister is also deaf in her left ear. Is the left ear particularly weak or something? Only 1 poster so far has mentioned a problem with the right ear. I can't imagine that his deafness doesn't affect his play. My sister has less hearing in that ear than he does, of course, but she has a lot of trouble triangulating on the source of a sound using only 1 ear. And she doesn't hear at all a lot that is going on on her left side. On the bonus side, though, she can sleep through a lot of noise.
Btw, here's snopes.com's piece on the idea we only use 10% of our brains: http://www.snopes.com/science/stats/10percnt.htm
I don't really believe in either theory, honestly, how can we know what the truth really is? Snopes seemed to talk about the brain simply bein utilized, the different parts not being dormant and not functional....I can buy that, it seems reasonable. But what about the brains CAPACITY? Sure the brain can be used in all of its various functions, but how much memory can we collect and hold? We don't have a memory meter to check, like on our computers. If people actually "fill" 90% or more of their brain, then at what point in life does that occur? If we are close to totally utilizing our brain, then is it possible at some point to fill up and not be able to remember if we took a shower this morning? Does the brain store EVERYTHING, even if we can't recollect it? Does it flush some older memories to store new ones? I find it interesting how music, pictures, and various other influences can bring back memories and feelings that you had long since forgotten about. The brain is a wonder. I don't think anybody can claim that they know it's mysteries.
Actually I am almost totally deaf in both ears. (genetic) Everyone in my family is deaf - my mother, father and my younger brother. And I'm serious here - but it does and does not have much effect to Yao's ball game. It wouldnt have effect to his game when it comes to stuff like pure skill -shooting, rebounding, blocking, and passing. But it would have effect to when someone needs help with double team, or need a quick change of play, or something like that when they dont have time to use hand signals.
